My kids have been saving for one of these, RRP seems to be around $299 but I spotted it on sale at HN today. Couldn't find an end date. JB matched the price for me and I was able to use my $10 receipt linking voucher too. I have heard the company has gone under so not sure if that will lead to deeper discounts in the future or not.
This one does (I hope!) As long as you have the app, I think vector relies on the cloud, but they are still selling them too… So must still be working for now.
Can confirm Vector still works perfectly. Only thing the cloud's used for is for setup and voice recognition. Face recognition and all other interactions all work offline - just like Cozmo!
Just be aware that the company has now folded, so there won't be any support if you have issues….your only hope would be a refund from a reputable retailer.
edit - They are pretty cool though. My kids have one, and they have lots of fun with it.

This isn't true. Cozmo doesn't need the cloud at all - just the iPhone/Android app where all functionality works completely offline, without an account.
Definitely wouldn't pay $300 now since the the company has finished so good find

Seems they don't really offer support for Cozmo but Vector yes.

I know :( I'm just trying to convince myself that my purchase of a Vector a few months ago isn't a complete waste of money.
Company's not technically bankrupt, so there's still some very minor work ongoing with Vector. Realistically though, he won't be getting any major updates - so if that's a concern for you, you're definitely entitled to a refund. If you're happy with him as he is now, he'll still roll around and say hi like he always has. Voice recognition will probably be turned off eventually, but hopefully they have a solution for that in the works.
