If you don't want to wait for 3hrs to check out, take cash..

Well from the latest propaganda, sorry I mean advertising, VISA would like us all to believe that Paywave (or for Mastercard Paypass) is now faster then cash. ;)

Is that the stuff that lets a thief swipe your details without even touching your card? :S

        • yeah that's it alright!!

  • There better be good discount to pay cash. These stuff aint exactly cheap.
generally I dislike up-to-%-discount sales, but I still go to check them out. I need a long sleeve top.

There is no difference in price cash vs card. Search last years post and check out the prices there.

      • To the retailer there is though…. although some do pass that cost onto the buyer….

      • actually I wasnt talking about the cost of paying with card.
I was just wondering how much cash to carry. I usually carry less than $50 cash, usually card everything.

I had a look at the price from last year as you suggested. Thank you that.

  • Too bad it isn't online :(
    I'm no where near Collingwood

  • Usually a good sale, but compression gear isnt really there. I think last year they had XXL tights only.

I was there 8:30 last time and there was a line of people ready!

    • It is good for nix ($20 last time) and rainbow coloured singlets, shorts and tops…

    2xu Compression Tights = $60 on Amazon!
Yep. That's right. you read right!

Strange how you can buy Australian brands cheaper in America than Australia

    • $72 delivered, not too bad

    • Because in usual fashion we get ripped off…Borders won't be the first or last retailer to go belly up if Australian retailers and importers don't start giving us a fair deal.

      • I dont buy 2xu or skins at retail price.

I use Linebreak when they have 40 or 50% off.

Their stuff is good and customer service excellent.

What about Interstate "2XU'ers" 2XU! How's someone (who wants to check out the sale) organise a trip in 24hrs (receiving the email) today. A little more notice is appreciated or maybe spread the 2XU love interstate. Just a thought.

  • Anyone come back from the sale yet?

    • yes. it's ok

    • I got there around 10am and the run short for size S has gone.. It's only $30 bucks after all. SO no wonder it's gone pretty quick. The compression elite is reduced to 100 bucks from $185. Pretty good deal since the 2xu in DFO southwharf sold it for 120 bucks if I'm not mistaken. The Bicycle short is $50, i have no idea for the original price.. They've got the mat and polo for $20 bucks each. I bought the elite compression and a polo.. pretty good.. but, you seriously need to bring a lo of cash since the queue for the cash only register is pretty short.

      • Did you see any Cycling jerseys?

      • The the 2xu deal a few weeks back they offered compression top and bottoms for $100 in total.

        At the sale:
        Bib and Brace $80
        Cycling tops $40
        Compression sox $10
        women's running 3/4 pants $40
I thought the bike shorts were $40
        wetsuits $200
Mens bathers (smugglers) $20 (i think)
        Drink bottles $10
        summer bike gloves $10
        running compression ankle things: $10

There are only xsmall running shorts and no jackets at all.

I believe they re-stock every morning?

      • I actually put 2 back in the boxes around about 10:30, thought the tights were better.

  • I was (da-dada-da-da-daaaa) first in line this morning.

Reasonably organised, but I reckon that was only because I got there before it was destroyed.

There was a full range of stuff, I picked up:
Mens XL Long Sleeve Compression Top (White) was $109.99, now $40
Mens XL Elite Compression Tights (Black) was $184.99, now $100
Mens XL Short Sleeve Compression Top (Black) was $90, now $40
Mens XL Compression Race Socks (White) was $50, now $10
Mens XL Compression Recovery Socks (Black) was $50, now $10
Mens XL Elite Compression Cycling Shorts (Black) was $210, now $50
Mens L Elite Compression Cycling Shorts (Black) was $210, now $50
Mens XL Long Sleeve Running Top (Black) was $90, now $20
Mens XL Bib and Brace Cycling Shorts (Black) was $260, now $80

Wetsuits seemed to be the best deal starting at $200 (down from $600)

WAY too many people trying things on at the sale, particularly wetsuits.

Also seemed to be a lot of eBay vultures, obvious not sports oriented, and buying lots of common size L stuff (tights & tops), coming soon to a Sunday market near you…

  • Needed to be online :( Really wanted a cycling jersey but being in Perth there's not much I could've done
