Advice on problem porting to Amaysim

Hi, I purchased an Amaysim mobile service to get the shopback $55 cashback. I activated the sim on Monday, and have today gotten an email saying there was a problem and could take an extra 5 business day to port my number. The problem is the service needed to be activated by tomorrow to get the cashback and my other service with catch expired on Tuesday. I'm now potentially going to miss out the cashback and pay more for a plan than i usually would and be without a phone for up to a week.

I'm hoping if anyone could give me some advice on what to do now?

      I second this. ASAP. You don't want to be futzing around with porting during a long weekend.

      • ok thanks ill get onto it. Are they usually able to cancel the porting?. I feel they will just tell me to bad and to wait.

          No idea, maybe push with them that you are going away for the long weekend so need it done today… and say you're going to call every hour until it's done :)

    Thanks for your inputs. Service has just been activated so all is now good. I guess the 5 days is worst case scenario.

    Do not change an important number over to these pack of fwits. In May I changed a favourite mobile number over to these dogs I used a voucher for 8 renewals.
    Well I just turned my phone on its not working I tried calling it and optus advises your service has been disconnected. WTF what a pack of incompetent morons they are scum and I hope they rot in hell.So do not repeat do not trust these idiots.
    I should have known better than trusting these morons because a friend of mine ported from optus to amaysim and they ended up after 7 days trying to port her number over losing it so she had to get a new number.
