best and most affordable gaming PC in 2018.

What would you recommend for 2019?

    • +1

I really hate when people label things "gaming", is that because it's currently playing games?

      • Gaming just means that an item has RGB lighting.

      • I hate it when they call them 'baby diapers', they have other purposes too. /jk
They are targeting their strongest demographic.

    • Well, that depends on your needs. You can't just ask a question like that. What's your budget, use case, preferences.

      2019 isn't over yet.

They were pointing out their description doesn't reflect that we are in 2019.

  • Do you guys sell any premium CPU (at least 8th gen i3) systems without discrete GPU included?

    • -1

without integrated GPU, or a GPU at all?

      • I'd like an integrated one, but not to pay for a discrete one

        • +1

You might want to wait for the latest Intel 10th gen CPUs to come out. Their integrated graphics is supposed to be substantially improved. Or buy an existing AMD CPU with integrated vega graphics.

But tbh you can purchase a competent GPU quite cheaply like a GTX 1650 or a second hand AMD Radeon 570 or 580.

With the latest Ryzen announcements, personally I would go for a Ryzen build.

    • Can you elaborate please?

      • wait till july 7 for amd's new cpus and gpus which are crazy good.

        • Cool thanks! Any chance existing Ryzens will be cheaper?
I am eyeing this one as a lower/medium end gaming machine. Also thinking of doing my own build.

@axlfan: There is a potential for price dropping but only sightly given the Techfast prices are already very good.
It is only natural though once the new CPU's are available that the previous gen will fall in price.

          • @axlfan: Be careful with the 580
            I bought their Ryzen 3 2300X RX 580 8GB 120GB SSD 8GB DDR4 Gaming PC
            the 580 was a 2048SP, so a preoverclocked 570 instead

  • Any of these capable of running vr experiences like LoneEcho?

    • Should be more than enough

  • How is this build so cheap? Doesn't it have a RTX 2070 gpu?

    • They buy in bulk and everything else is the absolute cheapest part that they can get that does the job. Plus they won't win employer of the year anytime soon and their customer support seems pretty hit and miss.

      • I can say their customer service is pretty good, the issue previously was with processing times which is now fixed. Average turnaround time is less than a week nowadays after you have placed an order.

        • As I said, hit and miss. You got a hit.

  • Wish the code was 20% I would have ordered. 10% off not so great

  • Thanks OP. Had a question about OS.
Any cost effective way of getting Windows 10 on this?

    • Be a tertiary education student.
      Get Windows 10 free.

      • might be some unis
      • might be some degrees
  • The code isnt working for me PRIORITY10 on $1299.60 Intel i5 9400F RTX 2080 8GB 120GB 8GB DDR4 700W H310M GAMING PC(ebay.com.au)
