      Update:

      • I downloaded/changed to a custom display. Couldn't figure out how to change it back to the default display. The only way I was able to do this was to unpair my band and re-pair it. Googling didn't help either, I presume because it's too new a device so not a big enough sample size of users experiencing such issues yet.
      • The custom band display definitely can be changed back to the default one. I just hadn't figured out how. Tap button -> swipe up/down until you reach "More" -> Band display - then swipe through the downloaded/available band displays
      • How to either get the band to automatically start detecting when I cycle, or at least to have the ability to start cycling tracking via the band. At the moment, I can only start it via Mi Fit app on the phone.
      • You can tell the Mi Band to start measuring your workout on the band itself without going through to the Mi Fit app. Tap button -> swipe up/down until you reach "Workout" -> select your desired workout and press start. Main difference seems to be that on the band, it won't actually start tracking until it can detect a GPS location, whereas on the Mi Fit app, if you start it there, it'll just try start recording whatever it can record at that point in time. Don't think it's possible to automate this though.
      • For Display Settings, I currently have: Band display, Status, Heart rate, Workout, Weather, Notifications, More - yet my band only shows the default band display, some Alipay screen, and then music control. I can't figure out why it doesn't correspond lol.

Because I'm an idiot. Hadn't swiped up/down enough to navigate/play with the band enough to see this stuff.

      Other updates:

      • Still haven't figured out how to configure it to only vibrate/notify for WhatsApp calls and not messages, but haven't tried hard to do this
      • Have now played with the music control function which imo works quite well. Tried it with YouTube but not Spotify/other music app. There is a very slight but acceptable lag between sending the instruction, and the instruction being actioned. Volume can be adjusted in this mode.
      • The night mode function feels unnecessary. Makes the display unnecessarily dim.
      • The multitude of linking between apps (Google Fit, Sleep as Android, Mi Band Tools, Mi Fit) is a little overwhelming. I'm not a privacy freak so I downloaded all and let them all connect/talk to each other, but I'm definitely losing track of what exactly is doing what…
  • Mine got delayed and only got shipped :/

Mine arrived today. It was completely flat because you can't turn it off, but after an hour or so it was charged. You have to use a fair bit of force to remove it from the band in order to charge it. I downloaded the Mi Fit app and was able to pair it following the instructions on my phone screen. It changed to English automatically. All looks good so far!

    • Australia Post Tracking now works and says it wil be delivered tomorrow AKA 11/7/19
      I’m situated in Melbourne

  • Can anyone recommend any good screen protector that wouldnt glare too much in aussie summer

  • Got mine today as well. Any recommendations for leather bands?

  • Received mine today. 3 week delivery for under $30 (with cashback) - awesome value. Download the Mi Band 4 faces app - a great companion app.

  • Both of my joybuy orders (this watch and xiaomi thermometer) were sent out from Sydney

    • Bet they weren’t. That’s just where the Aus Post tracking starts from. Try the tracking links posted earlier in this thread.

      • No, sender address on the parcel was marked as Kingsford, Nsw (cant remember the street name)

  • Got mine yesterday, love the watch, Only gripe is the date is in US format so if that could ever be changed it'd be perfect!

I think that depends on the watch face that you're using. I just got mine today, and it's showing standard DD/MM format (I'm using the default display); though I did have a look at the other faces on the mi fit app, and they do all show the MM/DD format

      • I downloaded the miband4 app on android and a few of their selections are the DD/MM format :)

Bought it and sold it, very uncomfortable to wear, the only part of the band resting on your wrist is the middle, sensor. Everything else is elevated, only the ends of the band are touching the wrist, lots of gap left between the band and the wrist, very small screen and font. Probably made for kids or very small poeple, it's a colour oled/amoled/led screen, sharp but why poor graphics design, animations, could be a lot better, vibration is pretty weak also. I'm coming from honor band 4 and it's much more convenient, wraps fully around your writs, not elevated or uncomfortable and a lot thinner , premium feel and build, wider and taller screen. Definitely more text fits on the screen, larger font, easily readable and much stronger vibration. Have no idea what's the fuss about mi bands, maybe has greater community, mods, watch faces etc. But it just isn't it for a day to day life.
