Great buy. These batteries alone can be quite expensive.

54V x 9Ahr Sounded great!!! Was looking at buying for an eBike.

Unfortunately not true. Look at the fine print in the picture:

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-54v-9ah-xr-flexvolt-2-pie…

"18V 9Ahr". So it is really only 3Ahr at the nominal voltage.
As honest as my Chinese 10,000mAHr 18650s :-)

Anyone who is familiar with Dewalt's FlexVolt range would know that 9Ah refers to 18V nominal… but is also capable of running at 54V.

      • Make sure you give him a neg so his will be removed.

    • So you're negging the deal because you don't understand that the flexvolt batteries are 18/54V and the capacity is always given for 18V.

The OP takes the times to post and you leave a neg that doesn't meet the requirements as per the negative voting guidelines and should be removed by the moderators.

The blower is 54V and the battery is 9Ah so the title is 100% factual and correct.

Well, it sounded like a great deal. I was going to buy one.

The "54v Blower 9ah Battery" is a big fat lie. No??
Am a bit surprised that I am the one copping flak here.

If you bought a car that claimed "8l/100km" and then found out that was for each wheel, would you not feel lied to?

On reflection, I suppose the explanation is that the average person does not know what a volt or amp means. Could that explain it?

because you don't understand that the flexvolt batteries are 18/54V and the capacity is always given for 18V.

So the battery actually puts out 18V as well as 54V?
For anyone who "understands" electricity, this is deceptive. Like Chinese battery or lumen claims.

Actually, if they rated it like a Chinese powerbank, it would be at 3.6V, so 45000mAHr :-)

The "54v Blower 9ah Battery" is a big fat lie. No??

Not really. "54v Blower" refers to the blower. "9ah Battery" refers to the battery. Dewalt bascically only rate their batteries at 18V so I see no lie here. Only the uninformed would assume that the battery is 9Ah at 54V.

If the title says "54v Blower 9ah/54v Battery" then I would agree with you.

So the battery actually puts out 18V as well as 54V?

Its circuitry allows it to power 18V and 54V range of tools and (correct me if I'm wrong) is similar to how QC or PD powerbanks are able to output at multiple voltages (5V, 9V, 15V, etc).

          Actually it's pretty simple.

The battery pack has 15 batteries inside. For the 6Ah pack these are 2000mAh.

In a 18V configuration you have 5 batteries in series and 3 sets in parallel giving you ~18V and 6Ah.
In a 54V configuration you have 15 batteries in series giving you ~54V and 2Ah.

For the 9Ah pack they use 3000mAh batteries so you get 9Ah at 18V and 3Ah at 54V.

the batteries themselves are marketed a bit more transparently. https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-18v-6-0ah-54v-xr-flexvolt…

      • Thanks. That one is clearly and correctly described.
I guess I'll just stick with ALDI batteries. 72WHr for $40 (or less).

I have this blower. It's great for cleaning the paths/driveway after cutting the grass. No cords, lots of power, quite light and uses the same batteries as my other Dewalt gear. Having come from a 2 stroke blower, I'd never go back.

    • How long does it last at full power?

Some i have seen last only 5 minutes.

      Thanks.

      • Just did a 5 min blow and the battery is still showing 3 bars, I think the 9ah gets about 13 mins but the smaller 6ah gets less.

  • Cant seem to find this particular product on the Bunnings website. Has anyone else seen this in store? Specifically in WA?

    • Hey mate they are not on the website. Was just instore, even the powerpass app says out of stock.

  • But is it worth it vs the ozito?

  • I bought from bunnings Nunawading, and it had no batteries or charger inside! I went back, opened two other boxes and they all didn’t have a battery :S

    • skin only for $277

      • but i paid the $284 (with powerpass) and the box said 1x charger 1x 9ah battery
