Adidas Seconds and Samples Sale [VIC] 25-26 June 2011

220

Okay, so you guys in Victoria might have bought up big time a few weeks ago. (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/45396)

However, I told you in that deal that you should have held out for the second and samples sale. (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/ozbapi/comment/477494)

So yeah, spend up as adidas is all in.

NOTE: Mod, don't change the title, adidas is all lowercase :P

  • damn, this is excellent… very envious of Melbourners, though I did grab what I could a few weeks ago in Brisbane.

Probably worth the fun for the shopaholics to fly down to Melbs hehe… very tempted :D

    • you should envy us that have to deal with collingwood supporters though

some already planning there next raid it seems!

        • I'm actually free that weekend LOL. and $250 Brisbane-Melbourne return sounds reasonable if you want to find out what "Aldi sale morning multiplied by 100" is like, and provided that you buy enough stuff :)

But then it'd probably be better to spend a little more for the stuff they sell in stores rather than on airfares + discontinued items/samples.

      Melburnians mate, Melburnians :)

Think Aldi sale morning multiplied by 100. Faint hearted and impatient need not apply. Ticket inspectors are usually out in force for these things if you park in the wrong place (so don't lose any savings on the parking ticket). If you are after one pair of socks you can do better with your time.

quality of adidas shoes has dropped considerably over the years :/

  • I have been to a few, it is more like a dog fight - very hard to find the size if you are not there the fist five minutes, any later, you better like funky dress, shoes or be of XXXL size! By the way queue line starts as early as 6am, if you plan to queue up.

I now order most of my shoes from US shoebuy.com or eastbay.com, specially when they have 20%off discounts!

    • Sadly they charge $32 to ship to Australia. :(

  • Bought sample Adidas shoes in the Perth store last year (harbour town). I think samples only come in the size 42 2/3 (42 two thirds). Just in case people weren't aware of this. They do have nice-looking designs.
I don't find mine extremely comfortable, though. Not sure if this is because samples are made for look, rather than comfort (as in, they might be manufactered for the purpose of visual appraisal, but I don't know this).

  • I want some nice shoes made in Australia. I'm happy to pay an extra $30. Why don't these exist, and instead I am forced to purchase from probable child labour :(

  • Has anyone been to this yet? Thinking about checking it out tomorrow but not sure if it's worth the trip.

  • Should've been there at the end today. $100 for 3 pairs of runners and 5 soccer balls for $10. I got 20/21 for TWENTY BUCKS.

    • Wow that's cheap!! It's pretty close to me but yet I couldn't make it :(
