Got one of these today. Very happy with the product. Cartridge appears to be full basic one good for about 1000 pages.
This appears to be a regular price and not a special.
Store where I got this had plenty of stock so would expect to be the same elsewhere.
There was no usb cable in mine..?
Seems great value for a mono laser with scanner!!

  • Wow, that's insane especially for a combined Scanner + Laser Unit (not to mention the 128MB of memory :O)

Pity about the weight though… 11KG (I don't think I'll be able to load this thing on the bus let alone carry it back to my Uni dorm. >.>

    • LOL.. Did not seem all that heavy but more cumbersome because of the carton size.
      Delivery may be cheap?

      • Same/next day delivery to metro areas is $4.95 ("handling fee") on orders over $55.

  • maybe the 11.8kg is gross weight? they should put net weight or gross weight to make it clear

  • it's gross weight

the printer is just under 9kg

also what i find not good is that the cart is only 1,000 pages and the 2,000 page is "extended" (read expensive)

companies like samsung have one size… 3,000 pages

i'd rather buy a printer that offers a more value sized toner cart

    • +2

We are regular home users and 1000 pages would be several years printing for us.

It is far cheaper and more reliable than fiddling around with ink cartridges :-( :-( like we have been used to.

As for anything "Samsung",.. that is another story.

  • not a deal, normal price according to shopbot

    • Harvey Norman offering the same for the same price.

      • Correct… but check other multifuntion laser prices… ?????????????

  • Hi xywolap, looks like a good deal. Does this one make pdf of scanned media? And does this one allow scanning of multiple pages to one pdf?

  • imo this may be more economic: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fuji-Xerox-PHASER-3100MFPX-4-in-1…

    about $80 for a 4000 page toner
