      with buying from amazon,

and reviews to base your purchase off. to give you an opinion aswell.

  • I have a sound bar that only has a 3.5mm output, my TV unfortunately does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack input

Will this help make it work with my TV?

    • +1

Only if your TV has an optical output

    • What are you trying to do exactly?

      • I would like to have the tv sound come out of the soundbar I bought

        • What audio outputs does your TV have, and what inputs does the sound bar have?

          • @Orac: Tv has RCA, HDMI and I believe optical but will need to check when I get home

Soundbar has bluetooth and 3.5mm (headphone/aux)

            • @Truthbe: If the TV will output audio on the RCA plugs, you could try RCA to 3.5mm cable.

              • @Orac: A few months ago I bought a rca to 3.5mm input cable whilst on a holiday to hong kong, problem is I'm not sure if its just the cable being faulty but it didnt work unfortunately :(

                • @Truthbe: Have a close look at the plugs on your TV. There should be some indication as to whether they are input or output plugs. It might say ‘input’ or ‘output’ or there might be an arrow pointing towards the plugs for input or away from the plugs for output.

                  • @Orac: I'll have a look but I think I tried every combination, thanks for that

  • would this do a better job than the headphone output on my TV?

    • +1

Depends. Headphone should mute the TV speakers and let you control the volume via the volume controls on your TV remote. Using the digital outputs, the TV speakers won't mute, so have to turn the volume down, also means no volume control via the TV remote, have to control it with whatever you are connecting the analogue outs of the DAC to or install a volume control inbetween. On the other hand, DAC isolates the signal, so no grounding issues causing hissing, etc.

  • OP, I need a hdmi splitter. To hdmi out and toslink.
My silly switch only has one output.

  • good for connect ps4 to a computer speaker
