  • 15th June? It's already 20th June.

    • since the rep posted, does that mean its still available?!?!

      • The rep updated the date soon after I posted the above comment.

  • Sorry, late night renovation works kinda mess up my brain a bit. But thanks for the pickup.

  • is it delishous?

    shame it not in sydney

    • Yes, it is. Tried it when a new store opened up here in Brisbane. But yes, it is a bit pricey.

    • it's @ cabra… $2.20 for just a bun is so damn worth it!!

      there's also one @ kingsford

    • Yes it was quite nice. I also had one when they opened with free buns in Kingsford, Sydney.

    • the store in glen waverley did not impress me on first try, the inside was hollow and empty, i believe there should be a filling somewhere in there lols

but this is free food right? no one cares about taste if its free, ozbargain away

  • +1

it is in sydney located in kogarah and cabramatta. Wish they would open a store in the sydney cbd though bugger. and yes its yummy but too pricey for sure. The brand is from Malaysia

    • they have just opened a new store late last year in Kingsford

    • Agree. A papparoti shop near the city [UTS or CBD] will be nice.
And I can do a roti run every 3pm for afternoon tea :)

  • Sounds interesting, but I'll probably miss out on the free buns - too early >.<
Probably pop by another day and buy one if it's good value :)

  • So do you sell Roti Cannai?
or a brekkie Roti with egg & sausage?

    Mmm roti

  • Sorry no to Roti Cannai. Though there is a possibility of upgrading to selling waffles, crepes and other savoury items in the future, similar to the other Papparoti store in Kingsford (NSW).

Though I will bring up the suggestion about the Roti Cannai and maybe even Roti Tissue with head office. Thanks.

Brand is Malaysia but still baked fresh at the store every hour (maybe even minutes depending on demand).

In term of "yummy", best thing is come and try it out. I will be very surprised if you don't want to actual pay another after getting your free one ;P

But also try our Fair Trade Organic Coffee. Please feel free to comment on the services and quality of food on the official Papparoti facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/PappaRotiAus

  • Sweet buns brah.

do Msian get free buns other than 21st @ 8AM? :p

  • This is the best bun around. They also have Teh Tarik which is strong tea with condensed milk. Makes a fantastic combination.

  • Ive had these at the cabramatta store and theyre bloody awesome! Another fantastic reason to go there is to see the cute guys and girls that work there =)

    • are you affiliated with cabramatta store?

      • nope just a customer

        • +3

your comment about the cute guys and girls is so weird…

  • Sorry I better clarified, I meant the store open at 8am and will normally open till 8pm unless we sell out all our buns early. That's Free Bun all day from 8am to 8pm (unless we run out)

    • +1

Doubt it will last to 8pm LOL

      • Well I guess we can still sell Gelato, Malaysian Speciality Drinks, Shakes, Frappes and Coffee till 8pm.

    • What's the likelihood there will still be free buns around lunch time?

  • Yea papparoti buns are really nice but as everyone else said expensive.. but even a cheapass like me is willing to buy it once in a while! With other expensive snacks I just don't bother!

The buns look VERY plain but are very flavoursome.

  • I had these before in KL and its one of the best bun I ever tasted. I would highly recommend that everyone should try this at least once.

Build franchise in Perth too! I missed them already :(

  • Though I cant go to this event, I "+ve" this because i LOVE Papa Roti buns. Though theres only one flavour, I cant stop buying one of these every time I come near the shop :D.

    ….(no, thats not sockpuppetting ;))

  • I hope the HR department don't mind if I grab some great buns tomorrow…

  • Not as good as RotiBoy

    • That's what I was wondering…RotiBoy are awesome! ;)

  • Haven't had one in ages! Hoping it hasn't sold out by lunch hour!

  • Got one this morning. It tastes so good-might go back at lunch time :D

  • Its funny there has been a Papa roti store in Toowoomba now for ages & now the major cities are getting them? Where usually last to get stuff not one of the first.

  • +1

    Got my free bun!
Went at approximately 1pm and only waited for a few minutes, despite the man outside saying "5 minute wait".
Can't tell when they would run out as they're making them on the spot.

The mocha topping is tasty, although the bun is buttery calorific!

    • I agree. I thought it was a bit heavy with the butter.

  • @Damo "I hope the HR department don't mind if I grab some great buns tomorrow…"

    Nice one Damo ;)
