PS Vita - AUS Vs US Store + Sales

I got a Vita a few months ago out of curiosity. Great little handheld that had a lot of potential if Sony had played their cards right.

Anyway, my question is regarding the differences between the AUS and US PS store.
I've noticed that the US store has a better layout of categories, including Vita game sales that are shown in their own category, whereas the AUS store doesn't. The AUS store barely seems to have sales in comparison. Furthermore, the AUS store is missing a lot of games from the US store. This includes a bunch of PSP games.

You can only link one PSN account to a Vita, and while I'd rather use my AUS account for consistency and ease, the US store seems the better of the two providing I can buy gift cards.

Does anyone use a US account instead?

P.S. I realise this can all be negated if I go down the homebrew path, but I'd rather do things officially.

  • US store all the way. A lot of the games I bought were half price compared to the Oz store.

  • Its a great shame it wasnt the console it could of been - the same with the Wii U. But thats another topic…

  • The Vita is still a great handheld, even after all these years. I hope someone can answer a question.
If I use the the U.S store to buy games, can i still play my games I bought from the Aussie store? So what is the process to get an U.S account working on my Vita?
    Thank you.

    • Short answer, no, you won't be able to access games from more than one account at a time. Generally what people with accounts in different regions do is have multiple memory cards, each one tied to its respective account, and swap them whenever they want to switch regions. The console itself will have to be reformatted every time.

      • Thank you for the information.
