Anyone have the 55" and can provide input?

And it's not new, it says Refurbished: This item is manufacturer refurbished, has been professionally tested and approved by Sony.

    • yeah same, looking to see if anyone has this and would like to comment on it.

I cant see that refurbished blurb. Can only find "new:never used"

      I got the 55" from the recent Amazon prime sale and I'm no expert at all but;

Picture is great, no complaints here.

Audio is lacking compared to the quality of picture, when I was reading reviews before buying people recommend a sound bar, I would have to agree it couldn't hurt.

Set up was simple and only took a few minutes to put the foot stands in place and it seems very sturdy, I am however going to wall mount soon to free bench space.

I mainly use it for Netflix and chrome cast kayo sports and twitch. So I can't comment too much on speed of the OS but it runs these fine.

Overall I'm very happy with the TV for the price, and don't regret the purchase at all.

Sony NEW XB950B1 EXTRA BASS Wireless Headphones

$299 at Sony, $99.20 here is amazing. Are these any good?

  • I got this one from Sony.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-65-X95G-Full-Array-LED-4K-U… .

Not the exact same model, but uses the same description.
The TV is 'brand new' and flawless. If it doesn't say the box has been damaged, I would never have known.

  • After a new TV so this looks interesting

If only these would be OLED….

  • FWIW the rumour goes that Sony declares their run out stock to be "box damaged" or "refurbished" to avoid pissing off their channel partners for selling below the minimum price that they allow partners to sell for. That's not to say none of the stock is actually box damaged or refurb, but it does plausibly explain why people are getting brand new units.

    • man is there anywhere i can read more about this.

I'm actually in need of 55" tv right now but not keen on refurb just in case its crap and dont wanna deal with the hassle of getting it fixed

    • I've bought 3 Sony "box damaged" items. 2 TVs which didn't have a dent on the box whatsoever and both were brand new, and a speaker which had a dented corner on the retail box, but so did the outer shipping carton at the same point so it happened during shipping.

    • They need to train their warehouse people to be more careful with the stock.

  • I couldnt apply the code for the 20% discount. I get the message - This code can't be applied to your order.

    • Got it sorted, my account was originally registered in the UK so the code didnt work. I called ebay support and they changed the region to australia and the POSTIE code worked. I bought the 55in Sony
