Similar to this previous deal, but AUD is a lot weaker now hence a bit more in price.

A note borrowed from previous deals:

Note that This product is an international dual voltage product and requires an AU plug adapter means you will need to buy e.g. one of these, not the charger itself.

Regarding warranty, from the comments on the Amazon page and also previous deals here on OzBargain, Dyson's manufacturer warranty is globally valid, you need to call the Australian helpline and they should be able to register the warranty for you. However, it is correct that you won't have access to Australian Consumer Guarantee (although generally Dyson's 2 year warranty seem to be sufficient for most cases). Also, Amazon's support has been commented to be pretty good.

Although I guess this is probably the most important info about a Dyson Handstick Vacuum thanks for Dyson's confusing region-specific marketting - What's in the box:

  • Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute
  • Torque drive cleaner head
  • Soft roller cleaner head
  • Mini Motorized tool
  • Mini soft dusting brush
  • Combination tool
  • Crevice tool
  • Docking station
  • Charger

I'm aware of the $799 deal that just finished, but that's the AU model, which Dyson ripped off non-US markets, as the AU model does NOT contain the Torque Drive head, which is included for the US Animal and Absolute V10 models. For non-US markets, only going up to the V11 you can get the Torque Drive head.

However, as noted below in the comments, the V10 Dok does provide four extra tools that the US V10 Absolute doesn't have (the mattress tool, mini dusting brush, up top adapter tool, extension hose, and stubborn dirt brush). Personally, I'd take the Torque Drive head over the Dok (and related accessories), but of course, consider the options as per your personal circumstances and preferences.

Don't forget CashRewards/ShopBack.

  • How much cashback on this and guessing no dok

    • Best to check with the cashback site reps, although it is under the category "Kitchen & Dining" on Amazon AU (so it could potentially be ~$59.83 cashback if calculating at 8% with ShopBack's Kitchen & Dining rate).

    • Yeah, the dok is a big part of the $799 deal - isn't it 'worth' like $200?

      • +1

If you need/want or use the Dok. Personally the "$199" is just ridiculously overpriced for the piece of plastic the Dok is. I find Torque Drive head to more worthwhile, but others may prefer the Dok, so depends on personal preference.

        • Ah I see the difference now!

        • +1

The V10 dok isn’t just a stand though. The dok is the big white stand thing yes, plus an extra five tools: the mattress tool, mini dusting brush, up top adapter tool, extension hose, and stubborn dirt brush.

These tools come with the V11 absolute but are extra accessories for the V10.

          • @Ozkaye2019: You are correct on that the Dok provides four tools that the US V10 Absolute doesn't have: mattress tool, up top adapter tool, extension hose, and stubborn dirt brush.

  • Still can't justify the price tag even though they are good

    • Same boat here. I'm looking/waiting for a V8 absolute, so more for people looking for a Dyson at the moment. The V8 Animal is $799 at the moment in Australia, so spending $20 more for a V10 is no brainer. (Although thr V8 Animal is $493 from Amazon US).

Who cares about the torque head. Yesterday you could have got the Dyson V10 Absolute+ with free V10 dok for $799 delivered direct from Dyson AU.

This is a rather bad deal in comparison for what you get. And you don't even get AU warranty from the US model.

    • Depends on the person, as described, if you prefer the Dok, then the previous deal is better, but if you prefer the Torque Drive head over the Dok, then the US model is the way to go for ~$20 more.

      • But. What about warranty?. You lose any Australian warranty if you buy the US model shipped from the USA. How is that the way to go?. See you're not thinking about warranty. That makes it hard to go if you need to do a claim.

        • If you mean the Australian Consumer Guarantee, then yes, however you still get Dyson's 2 years warranty (valid globally, you need to call Australian helpline to register product). The previous deal's seller is Dyson, so you'll be dealing with it anyway.

(After cashback rebates, both actually will be at price parity)
