  • +1

    seems capital city shipping only
    :/

  • +4

This AND an HP Omen in one month?

    • +2

someone will call Catch just like Omen deal lol…

  • +5

    Purchased . Now we wait…

  • Cannot get shipped to my postcode either

  • +11

Don't need. Don't think they'll honor. Bought anyway.

Let's see what happens. Cheers, OP.

Edit: lmao, it's already reset. Can't wait on that cancellation email.

    • Have they ever honoured pricing errors?

      • +5

idk. Only thing I've ever bought from them was a few of those free CDs with free delivery like a year ago (sent Rick Astley's greatest hits to a few people for a laugh), and a big Ferrero ball with a coupon they sent me to make it cheap.

They did honor the free CDs at least, but idk. I never use the site normally.

        • +1

The free CDs would have cost them only a few cents, and would be part of their promotion budget.

          • +16

@vikvance: Yeah, I know, Rick Astley isn't quite worth nearly 1800 to you. But you know what, he would never give you up. Nor would he ever let you down.

      • +3

Catch didn’t honour the Maxwell Williams cutlery set price error a month back.

RRP was 400 they were selling for 30

        • +2

Given that this is a very similar scenario, I think it extinguishes any remnants of hope of getting this order delivered.

      • +2

Catch's T&Cs say that they can reject orders when there is a pricing error. I've ordered one but not hopeful.

  • Sold out….devastated

    • +33

      devastated

Did you lose a loved one or..?

      • +2

should be a headline writer with that level of exaggeration

        • +17

MAN DEVASTATED OVER MISSED 'PRICING ERROR' BARGAIN, SEE HOW HE'S COPING TODAY

  • +6

  • +1

    $1769 now. Gutted. Not. :D

  • +2

yup - sold out after I finished reading the specs and clicked Buy Now!

    • +27

Ozb rule number 1. Buy now, read later

    • Me too

  • And i missed it. lol

  • Price error.

  • No longer available, as I was purchasing! Pricing error updated

  • +2

    There’s always a ‘catch’

  • Managed to place an order. Now to wait and see what happens. Thanks OP!

  • +2

Took too long to pull out my credit card and it's out of stock now lol. 7 minute window to act

    • +2

Glad I went for PayPal rather than the card deets. I got in about 15 seconds before it reset.

    • +11

Amateur hour over here if you're not remembering card details by heart.

  • +2

Dang it, why did I bother to read the specs. Hope they honour the price for others.

  • Now priced 1769 lol.

  • +1

    Price is back to 109?!?!?

Back to full price. Keep refreshing and you might get lucky though.

  • Damn. I was too busy looking at free baby stuff lol. Pwned.

    • +1

Go again, it's showing 109.95 right now.

      Edit: Aaaaand it's gone.

      • Damn it! :D

true catch style rrp $1499 their price $1769

  • +1

I doubt they will honour it, amazon dont honour there mistakes.

    • +1

Amazon at least apologize and are generous with gift cards. Got a $30 voucher last time they effed up

    • That’s not always true, I have a shipping confirmation for my 48 packets of soup for $4.20

    • +6

      Good luck with that

    • Maybe you're right and there's a massive oversight in their T&C's, but if I was them, I'd still take the risk and cancel the orders. Who's going to sue?

    • +18

      https://www.catch.com.au/terms

8.7 - Your order may be rejected in circumstances where we believe there may be a credit card or payment related fraud (detected prior to the goods being shipped), or where your order cannot be shipped, or if there has been an error in the price or product description on the Website. In these circumstances the order will be refunded in full.

    • +2

Even if it's not in the terms they don't have to honour it, there's no contract until they accept your order and/or they could claim it was a mistake (which in this case it definitely was).

    • +2

Legally they have no obligation to honour price errors.

    • +1

Take it up with Tracey Grimshaw.

  • LMAO, currently 1187 viewing

  • +6

I guess people just blindly upvote deals? There were only about 10 upvotes before the deal was cancelled/had price corrected.

    • -5

You can (and I usually do) upvote even after a deal has expired. It encourages more people to post bargains (even if they are price errors) and acknowledges that even if I didnt get the deal its still noteworthy.

      • +7

But if it's a price error, all it accomplishes is rewarding a seller's mistake by driving traffic to their site (and possibly fooling more people into tying their funds up while they wait for refunds to come through).

  • +1

    It's $109.95 again.

    • +1

      Cheers, hopping on the train!

  • Fingers crossed! I was able to grab one!

  • Well, it probably won't be honoured, but just ordered 2 at $109 delivered.

  • Same. Do I need one though?
    Lol…

    • I'm not sure myself. Ordered anyway :)

  • Sold out

  • Bought it through paypal.

    Asus Mini PC UN68U-8I7M8S256W10P-CSM Intel I7-8550u 8GB 256GB SSD Win10Pro64

I'll be surprised if it comes.

    • Refunded, wasn't expecting much at least they didnt drag it out.

    EP02 - ASUS

    • +1

Ah yes, but you've not listed the pilot: Optus

  • +1

    They're messing with us….

    • +2

Catch is like Amazon - selling products supplied by other companies. The low price is stock from "PS Home and Living", when it runs out the product is sourced from Pocketronics for $1769.

The only other products supplied by PS H&L are clocks…

      • I managed to score one… This gives me SOME hope (maybe like 0.0007%) that PS Home and Living may honour the sale.

  • +2

The real question is whether anyone here ordered one before it even appeared on OzBargain. Surely OP you would know to try that first …
