        Yikes! I'm pretty well setup for home theatre equipment at the moment so true I'm not in the market for a new receiver.

        However I am going to be upgrading my projector shortly up to a 4k model and was pretty set on purchasing from your site, might have to think twice now as with that kinda attitude straight off the bat to potential customers I can't imagine what the after service would be like!

        This is exactly the sort of equipment I'm in the market for right now, but considering a store rep with this response I think I'll just find something elsewhere.

    I don't often comment on forums and this exchange is the reason why.

    If you want one of these receivers then this is probably the best price you're going to get at the moment. I don't recall the JB offer and nor do I care.

    The OP made a flippant(?) remark trying to be amusing but don't we all do this everyday? Oh, and like some of our comments, it backfired. It happens.

    This site should be about genuine bargains (at the time) and not about grammar and castigating someone for a simple mistake.

    You can neg this comment all you like but that's my opinion.

    For the record I have bought from these guys a few times doing local pickup and in all cases the process in store was professional. I have no link to the company, just an occasional customer.

          My opinion stands. I would add that the OP probably should have thought a bit more carefully with some of the answers but frustration hits us all at times.

    Wow. I had this open (the actual digitalcinema page), thinking if I should wait, buy this or the 7.2 (1608/9), as not fully decided, and…come across this post.

    I get what you were trying to say OP in the actual post, poor choice of words IMO, as maybe an emoji might have helped not seem like it was condescending and show it was a slight jest.

    But your replies. Yeh. You've lost a genuine sale here. I'll just go price match at JB or see if they can get close. I don't usually, because the shop that offers the best deal should get my purchase, but in this case…no dice.

    You'll probably reply saying I wasn't going to purchase anyway, but why would I waste my time posting this unless I wanted to give you some feedback. Go look at my post history, I rarely post.

    If you were after people 'like me', who are more Ozbers who lurk for potential purchases, rather than comment on every post, you're off the mark.

    The last deal was a tiny $16 lower, hardly even worth mentioning. As a marketing guy, this is a marketing disaster for your business here. People will remember this. People forget good service and engagement with a business, because they expect it (sad but true), people remember every single bad interaction they have.

    But hey, as you said, you're not hoping for people using Ozbargain to buy…so…then I wonder why bother posting then?

    Maybe you've having an off day..but this isn't the way to engage potential customers.
