Outlast 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed survival horror game Outlast. Set in the same universe as the first game, but with different characters and a different setting, Outlast 2 is a twisted new journey into the depths of the human mind and its dark secrets.

As someone who has finished the original and has gotten most of the way through 2 I can attest to the horror of this series but also the greatness of the story. It truly is scary and will quite possibly make you **** yourself (any deals on adult diapers currently?). In saying that though, if you pay attention to the story they do tell quite a good one.

If you're a fan of horror and video games then Outlast 1 + 2 are a must-play.

PLOT BELOW;

Outlast 2 introduces you to Sullivan Knoth and his followers, who left our wicked world behind to give birth to Temple Gate, a town, deep in the wilderness and hidden from civilization. Knoth and his flock are preparing for the tribulations of the end of times and you’re right in the thick of it.

You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with your wife, Lynn. The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch.

You're following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe.
The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.

  All-time lowest price for this was: $5.09 AUD on 26 December 2018 (Christmas deal - just the time when you want to play a horror game - as if the horror of relatives visiting is not enough! ;-)), also on GOG.
  So if you want to play it soon, jump on this deal. If you have a backlog and will play it in 2020 it might be worthwhile waiting until Christmas to see if there will be a repeat of last year's Christmas price.

    Don't worry too much. The amount of times I had to force quit the game before I could force myself through was uncountable. Bright room, daytime, someone nearby to yell out to reassure you you're not alone.

  Not negging the deal but there were holes bigger than Swiss cheese in the game design with this one. I loved the original but this one was a major disappointment for me.

    Yeah but not the cheapest. Good if you want them all on GOG though.
