Tech wise, absolutely. The Huawei's phone is far superior. It is a shame that it got caught in between the US China trade war. Lost potential.
Can you explain why? Stock Android and hardware might have an issue but 24 months warranty will fix the issue. Huawei fatty OS ..Everyone has their own choice.

That's generally a setting you can change I think.
Even with it off the software still 'beautifies' the image up a bit unfortunately.

Huawei is on my avoid list. I already have to deal with Google, not going to deal with them.
Only competition from where I was buying was the lg g7. That looks like a good phone but figured I might as well take the OLED and the android 9.0.
Only thing I'm missing out on is the IP rating. But in all the time I've had my s7 I've not once had it go under, so am fine with losing out on it for something newer.
Oh, and none of the forehead…a70 has a little notch, and even that's annoying me so I'm glad I didn't take a forehead on an LCD screen.
Um, the Mate 20 has the exact same tear drop notch.
