Cellarmasters Dozen for $69+Postage ($100 off)

60

Best price I've seen for their dozen, saw it on another site & clicked through - couldn't find a direct link on their page (mod - feel free to change the link if you can find it). Best part is it includes choice of a mixed dozen - not just straight red/white if you like variety.

In conjunction with Fairfax, Cellarmasters is pleased to offer you 12 quality wines for just $69.

All your favourite varieties are here, like Chardonnay, Sem Sav Blanc, Cab Sav and Shiraz – and all from top brands, including Deakin Estate, Maglieri and Amberton. This must-have dozen is the perfect entertaining mix – yours for an incredible $5.75 a bottle!

See below comment by ccrap for a way to make this even cheaper if you buy 2 dozen. Keep what you liked & save the rest - that's Christmas presents done for all the office staff ;-)

Good find, the link with all the referral stuff stripped out from the site you clicked through is this: http://www.cellarmasters.com.au/fairfax-media/2011/14221/ind…

Also, all note that this is available as a mixed dozen, a white dozen or a red dozen.

However, my personal favourite and for the true bargain hunters out there, I'm going to order one dozen red and one dozen white for just $88 + delivery by combining this deal with the $50 off $120 voucher: http://www.cellarmasters.com.au/community-partners/voucher.a…

    That's right 2 dozen wines for $88 + delivery!

seanbsydney, feel free to add this to your description.

    • I just hope you like the wine. 24 bottles of wine you don't like doesn't sounds like fun to me.

You could buy Mcwilliam's Inheritance at the moment for that price. And you wouldn't need to buy 12 bottles of the same varietal. See my post below.

Aldi cleanskins go for about $2 a bottle and taste great if you really want cheap wine

    • Can this be stacked with the $10 MBC?

    • thats exactly how i was gonna do it! =D

  • Yep, not sure about the quality of the wines but for that price all they need to do is be drinkable on a Friday night

    Not really a bargain.

First, they choose, not you. Half of these wines are not normally available in Australia and finding reviews is almost impossible. How many wines are award winning? Award winning wines don't have to be expensive. For example, many De Bortoli Sacred Hill wines have won awards and they retail at $5. Go to their website if you don't believe me.

Second, for $6 a bottle you have a massive choice at Dan Murphy's, 1st Choice, etc. For example I've seen the following:

wolfblass eaglehawk $5, Red Label $7
    Lindemans bin series $5 (!)
    Penfolds Rawson's Retreat $5.60, Koonunga Hill $7.50
    The list is endless

A selection from the above would average around $6.

Do yourself a favour. Go to cracka wines website and Check the reviews for wines you may like and buy them in (mixed) cases of 6

Quality wines, carefully chosen by yourself without having to wait for these offers. And no shipping hassles, either.

Winemarket.com (same company) sell quality nz sauv BLANC for $100 a case. That's good

    • Half of these wines are not normally available in Australia

Only half? I think most (all?) of them are house-brands of Cellarmasters.
You'll find them sold by various "wine clubs", all operated by the same company.

Not such a great bargain unless you use the $50 off also, but maybe a bit unfair to compare them to $2 cleanskins.

Tolley…Deakin Estate…Maglieri…Stonyfell - All award winning wineries. Sure, not every bottle will be beautiful, but for $6 a bottle from a company that specialises in choosing wine for people to enjoy, I'd feel pretty safe. Safer than, say, taking a recommendation at a bottleo from an 18.5 year old ;-)

Sure there's plenty of cheap wine around that drinks well (I like Hardys Regional Reserve range @ about $7 a bottle), but this one peaked my interest, especially because I'm not sure I've seen them advertise at under $99 before.

  • All companies will say they make sure they offer you the best products for the money, blah, blah, blah….

Who's talking about an 18yo? Use the net. Loads of top info there. And the brands may be famous, but that says nothing about the wine. I've tried other vintages (say a 2008)of some of my favourite wine (eg.2009) and hated it.

Like I said above you can get really good, (impartial) well rated wine for $6. Why would you want to gamble on these wines?

    Unless you are a salessman…..
