    • me too…

    • If i want a trickle charger for my car when im on holidays what should I get?

      • CTEK . I have four of them to trickle charge various cars and motorbikes. Cant go wrong with Swiss designed technology.

        • Do i need to find a specific one for a specific battery/car?

Ok did my research they all work. Just need enough amps.2.5A too low for a car?

@Bryanalves: To work at its most optimum for a car battery, I wouldnt go less than 3.8 . 5 ideal.
Both my bikes have a 2.5A' agm;s and they seem to go fine. My cars have 5.0

            • @nuno: I just ordered the 3.8 ctek for $105 with the discount. It says can charge up to 85A batteries.

Not sure what battery my car is but even if it was larger than 85A it would still be ok right?

Just using it while im on holidays.

              • @Bryanalves: For battery maintenance (you going on holidays) that's fine. You don't need more than that. It just tops it up constantly so don't need high current.

  • Perfect timing. Just got news from the auto service that my battery has failed the test and they quoting me $250 to replace it.

  • I had an old Repco battery lying around Supplied by Century Yuasa Batteries that was Made in Australia, I went and had a look at the new look packaging (same as website - solid colour with big numbered warranty on the front) the Model number I cross checked was still supplied by Century Yuasa Batteries but now says Made in Korea. Looks like they’re not the rebadged Century yellow and blue made in Australia batteries anymore.

    • Purely due to pricing, supercharge were outselling the re-badged Australian made batteries by far.

So Century bought their own imports to compete. Cheaper design, but more warranty at a cheaper price point!

Now they don't even stock supercharge!

      • Great info, thanks - I did notice the design was different had solid “feet” protruding at the bottom of the front and back, adding slightly more width (half to 1inch) which would also make the battery not fit properly in my particular car.

  • Ok just bought a ctek charger. Code works. Just not the clearance items.

    • Was it on the C-Tek 5A charger with bonus Cooler bag? The code doesn’t apply to clearance lines. I tried on the normal 5A and it worked.

      • Yea that was it. The cooler bag one is one clearance as you said. Then bought the normal $150 3.8A one and it worked. Works out to be $105.

        • Glad you got it to work, Great saving for a quality branded charger

  • Any difference between Ryco and Repco cabin filters?

I was told by someone at work it's a filter I should look at replacing, as I'm looking to do a radiator flush and air filter replacement.

    • Cabin filters really don't do much, I would take whatever is cheapest. The filter mediums feel identical.

      • Yeah, I took the cheapest option.

I googled videos, and the filters people are replacing are gross.

  • Thanks a lot, perfect timing. Just saved a bunch on a new battery, engine oil & filter.
