  • It looks great and that's a pretty good saving. I just don't have money…

The new Lenovo C940 with similar specs is $3199, so is this just a price cut to match the co petition ? The C940 gets the extra USB 3 port as well. While I have started moving to USB C not everyone else has, so it's still nice to have it there.

I think I will wait until I see what comes form MS in October with their update before I upgrade my SP3 but the C940 seems it, unless MS pulls a rabbit out of the hat. With this Dell a very close second.

buy now or wait to see what MS has to offer…. decisions decisions…

    • Depends on what your use case is. I had a Surface Pro 2 which has held up well and still is going strong but I felt it was time for an upgrade. Because of my experience with MS, I was tossing up between MS and Dell but the with MS offering the Surface Pro, Surface Laptop and Surface Book, there just wasn't one that ticked all the boxes; laptop form, touchscreen, sufficient ports and small form factor. Ended up getting the Frost white Dell XPS 13 9380 512/16 4k for $1950 with specials off ebay 6 months ago, refurbished (in mint condition) with 1yr Dell warranty. TRS claim brought it down to $1770 + claiming on tax. If you're set on a particular type of laptop, shop around, do your research and take advantage of as many discounts/cashbacks possible.
See $1950 for XPS13 with similar specs to this except for 10th Gen Core i7 and Active Pen functionality with 360* fold. Will you pay an extra $1300 for that stuff? Comes down to your use case.

  • Nice deal, interesting that you can create your own "bundle".
It's a shame that the resale of a Macbook Pro seems to be so much better.

  • sodimm that clocks higher than desktop ram
