+1 voteHowardWolowitz on 11/07/2011 - 08:23 ¶Does this involve a credit worthiness check with the usual reporting agencies?
I'm concerned that an application for something as trivial as car parking is going to appear on my credit report, which isn't good for a lot of people who are looking to buy a home etc in the future.
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 08:56 ¶Hi There, there is an internal credit assesment and all accounts need to adopt the auto-pay system.
+1 voteHowardWolowitz on 11/07/2011 - 10:51 ¶You did not answer my question - "Does this involve a credit worthiness check with the usual reporting agencies?"
Edit for clarification: Does your 'internal check' contact any external agencies or credit reporting firms?
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 13:50 ¶Hi, no it does not go to a third-party or external company and therefor no enquiry will be noted on your credit file. All Advantage Parker account applications are checked internally and must be on auto payments by way of bank account or credit card. I hope this is helpful.
RandomNinja on 11/07/2011 - 08:38 ¶Per application form:
Bonus Parking Credit to the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) is applied to your advantage parker account on your third (3) monthly billed cycle with us and is forfeited if unused on commencement of your fourth (4) month with us.
Might want to add that to description.
goblin5566 on 11/07/2011 - 08:47 ¶So, you have to wait for 3 months before the credit gets applied? Also, do you need to actually use the SecureParking card prior to that in order to activate it?
seanbsydney on 11/07/2011 - 08:48 ¶Good spotting. Actually confirms what I was thinking: this isn't really a 'bargain' for your average Jo bloe ozbargainer, it's really a little incentive for corporations to use.
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 08:58 ¶Hi, the credit is applied instantly and expires within three months. The card is activated on your first use. It is a convenince card and handy to keep in your wallet or purse. It costs you nothing to apply or keep the card - no monthly fees or minimum spends. Hope this helps answer your question.
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 09:06 ¶Yes, that is correct - sorry that it is incorrect on the application form.
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 08:58 ¶Its for all applications, singular and multi-cards - business or personal!

Don't bother - this card is useless at all the automated carparks where they only have machines for paying. Those machines don't accept this card.
You must pay the attendant using this card. Which also doesn't work if you are driving out of the carpark after hours because the office will not be attended, i.e., you have to use their payment machines which don't take this card.
Useless
-1 voteSecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 10:47 ¶That is incorrect information. The card can be used at automated car park however only with Secure Parking. Please visit our website for car par locations www.secureparking.com.au and look for the Advantage Parker in the product key to see if it is available at your desired location. Thank you
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 11:57 ¶Hi There, there will be variations on usage by car park dependant on the equipment that is currently installed. This offer is open for NSW applications, which is where we thought you may have been. So to clarify, some car parks will accept it via the equipment and others via an attendant and some dont accept it all. Feel free to call our team on 1300 727 483 should you wish to enquire about more information on usage at your desired car park.
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 13:59 ¶Hi There, I have just confirmed that yes, you can use it at the Automatic Pay Machines (APS) in the Cinema Centre car park in Sydney. Hope this is helpful information. :)

+6 votesGuys I don't get what everyone here is complaining about. True that it's our job to check the T&Cs and it's nice for the OP to have answered so many questions. Then we have people jumping here bagging it for how hard it can be used and the carpark might not be secure. So parking on the street makes you feel more secure? And yet the local council charges us as much as $6/hr to park our cars in the city, and that is if I could find a spot to park legally.
To me $50 is still $50 I could save from parking my car on the street away from crazy taxi drivers and the sun. So why complain on a genuine bargain?
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 13:52 ¶Hi, yes you must supply direct debit / auto pay details. This is part of the application requirements. Thank you
defenestrator on 11/07/2011 - 14:46 ¶I tried this last time and never got my credit. :S I'm not sure I'd want to go through it all again.
SecureParking on 11/07/2011 - 14:48 ¶Hi, sorry to hear this. Can you please contact me direct on sales@secureparking.com.au to work this out for you. Thank you so much!
SecureParking on 12/07/2011 - 07:51 ¶Hi There, Please read through the comments posted to better understand the discussion around this deal. Upon activation of your account, we will instantly preload it with $50 credit to be used within three months. No minimum spens, no set up fees, no ongoing fees - just freely apply and get your FREE $50 BONUS Credit - it's that easy and hope we can change your vote to a positive. If you want more information, just email me direct on sales@secureparking.com.au - thank you!

It seems to say something different in the terms though: "Bonus Parking Credit to the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) is applied to your advantage parker account on your third (3) monthly billed cycle with us and is forfeited if unused on commencement of your fourth (4) month with us."
So this to me reads that you've got to get billed at least twice in order to receive the $50. I'm assuming if you spend $0 you don't get billed, so you'll have to spend money to get "free credit".
Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems contradictory to what you said.
