I was given this phone that hasn't been used for a year or two. No SIM in it so I got a Boost SIM and it keeps saying it needs a SIM Network Unlock PIN. Tried calling Optus… two days in a row with two different answers and neither helped or gave me any codes… and I'm sure I spoke to the same person on both days. Does anyone know how to unlock the phone or should I just keep harassing them every day.
yeh. they tell me $80 which I won't pay. Was hoping for a non payment way of doing it.

Unless you purely need a phone to make calls, and nothing else, I don't think this phone would be worth the hassle imo

My 12 year old is upgrading from a free $15 woolies phone he was given so I have to try for him.
Recycle it. Take it somewhere that does e-waste recycling and hand it over. There are probably better phone for less than what they want for the price of unlocking the handset…
