Panasonic TH-65GZ1000U 65'' Ultra HD 4K Pro HDR OLED TV $3098 (RRP $5499) @ Stan Cash

50

The GZ1000 range are packed with features including both HDR formats: Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ as well as Dolby Atmos, etc.

Vincent from HDTVTest recently reviewed the GZ950 (not available in Australia. The GZ950 has identical picture as our GZ1000. But our GZ1000 has better sound speakers and the fancy brushed metal remote control).

Highly Recommended Best Value Award

should change deal to $3196 at TGG

  • This, or LG C9?

    • +1

Definitely C9. Advanced in many ways such as HDMI 2.1, EArc support etc.-which is future proof tech. Also, the display of C9 is more comparable to TH-65GZ2000U which is more of a high end model

        Many will beg to differ…

        • +2

Many professional comparisons put C9 above Pana OLED in nearly all areas except critical content viewing. Overall C9 is better.

      Undoubtedly the Panny.

LG C9 is better overall than Panasonic GZ1000 series. Panasonic last year model is better, compared to LG C8 series.

This year model however, LG improve their OLED C9 quite a lot (more powerful processor, HDMI 2.1 in all their HDMI input, etc).

To get better picture quality and possible durability (due to better heatsink on their custom panel) from Panasonic this year, you have to shell out much more money and get their top model TH-65GZ2000U.

What does it mean by custom panel? LG start to sell bare OLED panel this year to other TV manufacturer, called Open Cell panel). Panasonic bought this and apply their own heat management system to GZ2000 series TV (better heat sink) so they can crank up panel brightness further and improve their picture quality further (or improve panel durability).

  • Cash back too get back around 30+ back for the eBay one at TGG

    • Which Cashback is this?

      • Shopback 1% I think capped at $50 but it's money for nothing for the TGG ebay

  • and TGG delivery is cheaper by $70 for me.

I love Panasonic I own 2 of them one old and one recently purchased. The only complaint is lack of software and firmware updates they’re very slow with that
