  • They've increase the price on the ever popular E520, works out to be $629.10 for the model with HD6630 :(

  • hey it looks like the % discount depends on the base price of the unit specd from

ie: from base prices under $1000 upgraded over $1000 they dont get 20% off
and from base prices under $2200 upgraded over $2200 they dont get 30% off

checked those in shopping cart and theres some inconsistency with exact % off too: it was 10% off the Edge range, but looked at a T420 and upgraded to $2400 it only discounted $414, which is only 17.25% off, but the same unit left at the base $1900 spec does get 20% off. wierd

    • This might not apply in your case but my understanding is that accessories (bags, docking stations, etc.) and warranty upgrades are not discounted. Upgraded components are discounted though.

  • They screwed up my favoured config. No SSD anymore and that means I don't reach the higher discount (which makes the unit cheaper as a whole). 8(

  • Entropy, your right, wasnt working right cause id added warranty which dont register in the total cost like you say. good to know, thanks

  • Thanks Scotty, I have been looking for some deal on Latitude or thinkpads.

You have more than 3gb of RAM (technically that's 4 but really, 3's the breakpoint). You /really/ want 64bit windows if you want to make good use of that memory (as in be actually able to use it). There's PAE mode but I'm not sure if desktop Windows uses it but if it does, it comes with a performance hit and some other pain.

Basically, change that to 64bit windows.

      • I will be relocating one of the sticks to another machine ;)

  • does this offer end tonight or tomorrow night?

    • Still Active. So I think, it will be available till 19th midnight.

  • Damm. no USB3 in T520 series :(
I cannot live with usb 2 for next 2 years man. Spending over 1500 dollars and not getting usb3 or even full hd.
I dont know where to go now.
