Anyone know of a retailer in Melbourne with a good price on organic coconut oil. Prefer a retail outlet to purchasing online as just wanting to give the product a try as I have heard positive health info about it.

What problems have you faced with non-organic coconut oil?
Good Virgin Coconut Oil is so expensive in small quantities, nearly double the price of a bulk buy. Fantastic product & excellent price, highly recommended. I've been taking it for years, starting when we were in the Solomon Islands years ago. Once you start, you'll feel the goodness, so best to buy up.

I bought a jar of coconut oil a few months ago for the antifungal properties. You might want to start with a small amount first to see if you will actually use it on a consistent basis. Using too much can make you want to puke. I now have a largely untouched jar of it.
Yes, it is an acquired taste. I take it melted in boiling water, followed by a sip of lemon juice (as it cleanses the palate).
You can also apply it topically to dry skin, dry scalp (excellent for getting rid of dandruff & other issues). Also, v. good for pet's dry/itchy skin, & good for them to eat, too.

I'd just try your local health food store. Finding one for consumption might be harder than one designed for topical use.
