  • shame the new FE 35mm 1.8 isn't out yet at JB hifi, or if it is, its not included.

    • oo that looks nice, maybe they can order it in as it's not on the exclusion list.

great to see a faster 35mm that's not as expensive as the Zeiss 1.4

  • Go to Sony Kiosk, and ask them to match the price, it'll be cheaper.
Sony Kiosk has a document which will list all the sony product price from all major resellers, and always provide a lower price if you want to buy from them.

    • I've usually done this when they have the Cashback offers.

You can also get JB gift cards at 5% to stack.

    Overpriced to start with.

Tempted for 70-200 f4 but will wait for tamron 70-180

    • I really wanted a 70-xxx for this weekend (world time attack challenge @ eastern creek) and was holding out for the tamron but its only going to be announced on the 24th supposedly.

I think my 28-75 will be enough on the crop sensor to get some OK shots as a spectator, but its mighty tempting to just buy the sony F4 70-200 and sell it when the Tamron hits the market.

      • Good way to go i guess. Dont risk the 28-75, its just not the same having reach vs crop.

Keep in mind, might be hard to get a good resell as im sure the tamron will be a bloody cracker even at rrp.

        • this is what im worried about. 28-75 is all i have for my 6500 at the moment so outside of renting something for a day (which seems like a lot of effort) not much choice.

and I have a friend who works for Tamrons distributor, so I'll get a screaming deal on the Tammy when its out.

          • @Laserface: Can you help a fellow human and get me a screaming deal too?
pretty please with a cherry on top
