This is not official store opened by xiaomi. It’s a store named mi official store…

    • +3

Which is the official eBay store of Xiaomi Australia (Panmi Pty Ltd) who are the official distributor of Xiaomi in Australia.

I have it in writing from mi.com that they're official.

      • -5

He is distributor same as ingram micro. You don't call Harvey Norman Apple official store.

        • +1

No they're the official store as well. They even have a physical Mi store in Chippendale.

        • -2

Ingram distribute Intel CPU around the world no one will call Ingram is official store of Intel.

          • @Unity55: Ingram Micro is a distributor as you say, but Xiaomi Australia are the official seller/store/distributor etc. of Xiaomi in Australia.

            • @Clear: So Xiaomi Australia is part of Xiaomi? or just a partnership?

              • @Unity55: Rather than Xiaomi launching here directly they have another company doing it for them which saves Xiaomi a massive hassle. Though coincidentally the Xiaomi AU boss also worked at Intel once ;)

      • +1

The link (https://www.mi-store.com.au/) you sent is also fake. A company is trying to make you think this is real official store.

You need to check the real xiaomi website which is https://www.mi.com/. Xiaomi never using another domain name for it's website. For example, xiaomi india is https://www.mi.com/in/, xiaomi Singapore is https://www.mi.com/sg. And also, the real xiaomi website, you can find the contact info under https://www.mi.com/global/support/contact .

        • It's like people don't even read comments properly anymore. You go reach out to Xiaomi China / mi.com and see what they say.

That's what people have received reaching out to them ^

Just to be sure I reached out to the live chat on mi.com and its regions, my Xiaomi contacts in Europe and through them… Jim Xue, Global Marketing Manager of Xiaomi. They all confirmed what I said. They're the official distributor.

Why is there no mi.com/au? Good question! It's a third party representing them officially rather than Xiaomi CN themselves.

          • @Clear: official distributor…… JB is dell's official distributor did JB call himself Dell official store or apple official store?

            • +1

@Unity55: Yes, i would say JB is a good example of an official dell store.

          • @Clear: distributor website is different with official website. Distributor can't call them as official.

            • @PeppaCat: They're both Distributor and Official. Companies can be both especially when they're the only Official one in the country.

              It's been explained below.

        • You are right. Xiaomi's Australia official website will only be www.mi.com/au if Xiaomi Australia is an official store, why their website is www.mi-store.com.au and rest around the world is www.mi.com/tw www.mi.com/sg

          • @Unity55: Now you're just outright trolling. Literally explained it.

            • @Clear: as I understand Apple official store is store open by Apple. I didn't mean to argue with you. it just my understanding the term of official store. maybe I am wrong.

              • @Unity55: Xiaomi Australia don't fit into one category. They're the distributor and the official store.

Consumer looking to buy direct from Xiaomi AU? They have "Official Stores" on Amazon, eBay, Catch and direct. Business looking to buy wholesale e.g. PC Byte? Xiaomi AU are "Distributor" as well.

                • @Clear: If he is Xiaomi official store that's mean I bought something from Xiaomi China, Xiaomi Australia can provide the warranty? Xiaomi hk and tw will provide the warranty if I purchase from China store.

                  • @Unity55: No the warranty will be from whichever region you bought it from. Can't take a Xiaomi China purchased phone to Xiaomi HK or AU.

Got Mi Band 4 from Zapals for the same price loll

  • Got one of these, not that bad of a device. But I hate any of my stuff being sent to Xiaomi, so you can mode these and install the Gadgetbridge app.

  • Link shows selling for 39.95, then 20% off with PATRON20 brings it to 31.96
Have they price jacked, or different seller?

    • Yes price jacked was $35.95 - 20% = $28.76

  • anyone knows if Mi band 4 does continuous HR monitoring? I had 1s version of it and it only did it if you ask it, not continous

    • Do you mean you could only get continuous on request? Or that it could not do continuous at all (and was only showing you the current HR when you asked it to take a sample)?

      • only shows the rate when I ask

        • With the Band 3 you can set it to check at intervals. I think the lowest it'll go is every 5 minutes. Not sure about the 4.
