@ luketechfast , when are these being shipped out ? Thanks !

    • Should be the first week of November. CPUs are brand new and in bound.

  • Got one with the 16GB. Hoping it's not horribly noisy and can run games for the next few years at 1080/60 on nice settings. 🤞🏼

    • Thanks for the purchase. Definitely not noisy at all!

      • Thanks Luke. If I wanted to modify my order to the Ti, is that possible? Giving it some thought before morn.

        • No problem just let me know.

      • Hi Luke is pickup avaible to save $29? I live in Adelaide and your price is awesome!

        • Yep, just request in Notes on the cart page and and we'll refund once it's been picked up.

  • Very very tempted this time, almost ditching my PS4 pro

    • Don't forget Courier Simulator Death Stranding is coming out soon. There is also the Last of Us Part II.

      • Sold my Pro and I'm saving TLOU II for PS5. Want my mind to be blown. :)

        • So what's the new PC for? Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version? Cyberpunk 2077?
          Wouldn't PS5's GPU beat 1660 / 1660 Ti?

          • @netsurfer: PS5 will murder this build, but I play a lot of Battlefield 1, and PC has the biggest Aussie player base. Also hoping to run Modern Warfare nicely on this whilst waiting on new consoles.

My old man has been having a look at this deal. He says the 1 year warranty shows as 'out of stock'. What's the go?

    • same here

      Fixed, apologies!

  • hey guys, i honestly know barely anything about computers but im looking to get a pc to go with my LG ul27600-w 4k monitor as i just bought it to use my ps4 pro. i've been using my dell inspiron 7447 laptop as a desktop for a couple years now but with the new monitor i am unable to get 4k resolution with 60hz through hdmi so will this pc be a good buy? im just looking for a pc to view 4k hdr content such as movies and games (casually as i mainly play on my ps4) and for browsing.

if this pc would be good for me then what upgrades do you think are necessary for the longevity of the pc? (i already have a spare 1tb hdd from an older ps4)
dumb question but would it be easy to install the 1tb into the pc? and since theres only 2 usb ports in the small case would i be able to just get a usb hub? to get wifi for the pc can i just get a dual band wifi adapter and plug it in?
are there any other things you would suggest for me to buy for my first pc? (i already have a keyboard, mouse, headset and speakers)

thanks so much if you read all of this, any help or advice would be appreciated

  • Does the final checkout amount + shipping include building cost as well? Also a bit skeptical on the PSU and SSD brand being Allied, I have never heard of them and searching it up comes up with almost nothing. Is it guaranteed to be safe while also function well?

    • Yes, everything is included in the price. The power supplies and SSDs are definitely fit for purpose - we wouldnt use them if not as we'd be faced with a mountain of warranty issues. The upgrades into Bronze and Gold are from Thermaltake and Gigabyte. SSD are generally from Crucial, Lexar, Kingston or Team.

      • How about the upgraded motherboards.

        • B350 is Biostar B45M2, B450 and X570 generally MSI or Giga

  • 1 Year Return To Base Warranty Out of stock - then you cant place a order you need to buy 2 years ???

    • Fixed, apologies!

  • Cant purchase the pc. It says 1 year warranty is out of stock.

    • Fixed, apologies!

  • God damn it! Why do your deals get better and better after I make a purchase? :(

Really regretting my decision. But highly recommend this to everyone (who doesn’t already have a superior system) as this is an amazing deal!

  • Can’t buy thanks to that out of stock warranty?

    • +1

      Fixed, apologies!

  • What’s the ‘Graphics card - Leaper Case*’?

    NVM

    Ordered one :)

  • Can the entry level PC play games like Fortnite and Roblox?

    Thanks

    • Sure can! Be sure to upgrade storage to be able to add more games. 16gb ram will future proof but not necessarily required for those games

  • What kind of USB and HDMI ports are available with this build (how many, what types)?

    • Never Mind - Found the specs for Leaper Case Range

  • On my existing old desktop, I have multiple USB ports - they have mouse, keyboard, speakers, web camera and printer attached. I also have a network port for Internet connection as well as HDMI out port.
I like the specs on this new build, but I am not sure if I will still be able to do what I am currently doing. (I am not an expert, so please forgive me if the answers are obvious).

    • I was thinking the same, and came up with something like https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/USB-Sticks-&-Hubs/USB-&-…

I'd also want to still have access to my old hard drives, so looking at https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Hard-Drives-&-SSDs/Docks… to give me the dock and hub in one unit.

FYI the SFF PC case only has USB 2

        • I hadn't noticed that. Thank you.

          • @Who is she: No worries. I was going to do the same thing but the thought of transferring over USB2 is not something I'm prepared to wait for on a regular basis.

            • @mit: The motherboard has at least 2 USB 3

              • @luketechfast: Wait. So how can you use the USB 3 without the case having ports for that?

              • @luketechfast: I would also like an answer to the question from Mit above. The specs for the SFF case indicate 2 USB 2 ports. I only care whether there are visible USB ports that I can use - are there more than 2 USB 2 ports available?

  • What's the 120mm liquid cooler that is used ?

    • +1

Currently using DeepCool Gammaaxx L120T. Have also used Corsair H55 in the past.

  • Hey Luke,
What brand of the 1660 is it, and can the fan switch off at idle?

    • 1660s will likely be a mix of MSI, Inno3D and Galax and others. Brands and models can't be specified or requested as per all our regular offers.

  • @luketechfast, cool master case option is no longer showing? Is this still an option?

    • We've just sold out so we are sourcing a replacement. Hoping to have one available by the end of the day.

      • Any idea what that would be?

        • Just listed, the Thermaltake Versa J24. Same price, $99.

          • @luketechfast: @luketechfast, thermaltake is showing additional $109 instead of $99?

            • @largo0: Sorry, yes our buy price was just confirmed after I wrote the comment as $10 more so a $10 increase.

  • Hey Luke
Is it possible and how much to get an option for a 550W gold PSU upgrade? Not keen on the allied PSUs for the long term.

    • The pricing difference between 550W and 750W really isn't much for us so we don't offer the 550W.

      • Thanks. Just another quick question. With the SFF case, when it says 3.5in bay inaccessible if GPU installed, does this mean you have to choose between a 3.5in HDD or GPU? or is the 3.5in HDD still ok if it goes in first?

        • There is very little clearance for the 3.5" drives in the case. A case upgrade to a larger case is realistically required. Or you could install your own, 2.5" mechanical drive.

          • @luketechfast: Thanks. Just one more i hope :S. Is the mobo micro atx or m-atx for the SFF case?

            • @mit: Same thing. Did you mean ITX?

              • @luketechfast: Ah ok. yep. I'm guessing it's not ITX. Thanks :)

EDIT: the form factor listed was micro and m-atx

  • Noob question…where does the DVD/blu-ray drive go? I use DVD's when I purchase games and also to watch movies.

    • These cases don't feature optical drive bays. You can get external (USB) powered ones though.

  • How long does it take to receive the confirmation email?? I know you guys are busy with orders but it would be good to know (Bought it around noon)

  • Can someone please help me with warranty, does return to base warranty means, there is no warranty on gou or other components seperately like usually gpu has 3 ywars of warranty.
Does this mean, After 1 year there will be no support from tevhfast or any component company?
    Thanks in Advance

  • Would any know if this would be good for autoCad/Revit?

  • I just bought this PC and realised that PSU is probably not the best to last beyond warranty.
You mentioned in the post above that "The upgrades into Bronze and Gold are from Thermaltake and Gigabyte"

However on techfast web site it mentions:
Power Supply: Bundled 550W and 750W: Allied, TechFast-approved
850W 80+ Gold: Antec, Thermaltake, Corsair

Since bronze upgrade is to 750w, can you confirm that it would not be Allied (as specified on the web site)?

    • Techfast Support confirmed that bronze upgrade was not Allied over the phone.

      • So if it's not Allied, what is it?

        • Thermaltake

  • As a follow up to the previous post, since I already made the purchase, can I purchase an upgrade before the PC is built?
(Looking at this link: https://techfast.com.au/products/psu-upgrade-550w-to-750w-80… )

    • I had to call Techfast support to sort it out - I bought the bronze upgrade, they merged it into my order and assured it me it would not be Allied.

      • +1

How much was the upgrade? I've ordered one with the standard 550w. Why would it not last beyond the 1 year warranty? (I'm new to this stuff)

        • Upgrade to bronze was $99. I am not an expert either but I went through several posts on Ozbargain regarding Techfast and a lot of people recommended upgrading the PSU - the Allied PSU is not well regarded.

  • Nice - I ordered one with some upgrades e,g 16GB RAM.

  • +1

Pretty unimpressed with the lack of responses and all the changes that have had to be made and the extra delay. If you can’t fulfill an order, cancel the deal or let us know what/when etc is happening.
Do you normally make take orders with parts you don’t even have in stock yet?

    • Not sure what you're referring to. Can you PM if you have an issue? Virtually impossible to keep track of every comment on every deal especially if i didn't post it to notification of new comments. Thx.

  • I currently have a i5 6600k with 16gb ram and a 1070.

Can anyone tell me if this is worth the upgrade?

  • @luketechfast

any update on the shipping timeline ?

did the CPUs arrive and has it been a frantic weekend ?

I am hoping to get mine before the end of the week

    • He sent an email on Friday with an update, did you get it?

      • no email from techfast

        I only ordered on wednesday

  • +4

Hi all. Crazy popular deal. Sincere thanks to everyone who ordered. I'm in the process of updating everyone as to their order's status. PCs are shipping this week and we're pulling out all the stops to get as far into our orders as we can by the end of this week, and early next we expect to have the vast majority of these particular systems shipped. So we will likely be a little over the estimated 7 day business days for systems purchased at the start of the deal, but back to 7 days for those purchased at the tail end.

Thanks again for your support of us as a growing business and believe me, we're working as quickly as possible to get your system to you!
    Luke

    • Hi Luke, will you be doing a similar deal like this again in the future?

      • This low, hard to say. But we'll continue with as many low combos as we can.

        • Thanks for the response :)

  • has anyone done a video review of these units ?

I have yet to see the SFF case

  • Had anyone received a shipping update yet on these?

    • I received the email that my item was on the way on Tuesday. Order date was October 26th.

    • Mine was shipped Friday. When I track it online it says it will arrive Wednesday. Ordered on the 23rd.

  • +2

    how are they ?

  • any photos of the SFF case yet ? - I am interested in what sort of hard drive space is available so I can start looking for a storage drive.

mine is meandering its way north and is supposed to be here in FNQ on monday
