  • This is Part 1 of 100 classic books only. It does not include 100 books. Still worth getting. Thanks OP.

    What's an ioo classic

This stuff is in the public domain and is inherently always free.

    • +5

Project Gutenberg may have such books Free of Charge, for those wanting to get all 100 (&/or lots more Public Domain books).

There are also apps, that offer you [free] access to PD books.

      • +5

While I'm at it, there are legit. sites & apps, that offer Free Courses:

        • Khan academy.org (No login req'd)

        • Coursera

        • EdX

        etc.

Ones that charge for access to online Courses (but may be free to use at your Public Library) include:

        • Lynda.com (IT, photog'y, business, etc.)

        • TheGreatCoursesPlus.com (Sci., Math, Energy, Nuclear Physics, etc.) Au$12.5/Mon [may be discounted]

        etc.

        • TGC's don't seem to like to be at Public Libraries… I there's a legit workaround, let us know.

          • @IVI: Depending on their subscription, you might get some TGCs via Kanopy through your local library.

            • @blerk: No videos available on my Kanopy account. Had never heard of them before now, so it’s interesting to see. How good is their content?

              • @jwh: TGCs are a smidge slow for my liking (aimed at a mass audience) but uses good learning development principles to get the message across. Uses authoritative sources and practical examples (in the ones I have watched).

    • Other Kindle books from the list aren't Free, but that's OK.

    • That's true. Handy to grab something that's preformatted for kindle though

      Aren’t the authors all dead?

        Somebody think of the children!

      • +3

NO! I just came back from Sir Arthur Conan Doyles 160th.. was a massive piss up.

  • Thanks OP… why do I keep enrolling/buying courses/books and never end up starting them. why… who knows…

  • 'member reading actual books?

  • Great find OP.

  • Thank you for sharing
