[NSW] Suzi Quatro - Enmore Theatre 9th Nov, $12 for 2 Tix via On The House (or Free with Gold Membership)

140

One of the best classic female rock'n'roll screams - I don't know if she still has it but for $12 I think worth finding out.

But it feels a bit weird not having to go to Rooty Hill to see her.

On The House bronze membership is free and allows you to get 2 tickets for $12, or buy a gold membership and get them for free. The landing page says $14 fee but when you go to book it says $12 and that's what paypal charged me.

    • If you have plenty of time and are willing to see varying performances this could be decent value. I feel Vic usually gets much better offers than NSW but sometimes there's good stuff to be had. Just yesterday they advertised Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s Vivaldi’s Four Seasons which I thought of possibly seeing but it was limited to gold members and I wasn't enticed enough to make that step.

Suzi is the duck’s nuts. Got my first stiffy listening to her.

Yeah one of my first ever albums was her greatest hits - $6.99 from Brashs IIRC. The breathing at the start of Daytona Demon - I had a few fantasies about that as a young boy.

      Too much information 🤐

    • For me it was Jeannie.
I have so many fond memories of lying on the beanbag watching I Dream Of Jeannie!!

    • I get it with another Suzi, but this one is named Suze DeMarchi and she still rocks too!

  • The old man paid for tickets off viagogo…he's gonna be spewing

They going to wheel her out on stage… isnt she like 100 or something

    • That's not nice to say, but take my upvote!

    • I saw her at the Rising Sun in Richmond around ‘92 and thought the same. She was wearing fishnets under a pair of cutoff denims and she rocked out as good as anybody. Better than most.

      And she looked fine

      • She came to my town as part of the 2014 Red Hot Summer tour and was terrible. Out of tune and out of breath, definitely past it.

        • You take that back!

          • @0jay: All I'm saying is when the crowd prefers Shannon Noll's performance over yours it's time to stop.

            • @ssquid: Put em up son, this don't stop until you do

  • As a 42yo in 1992 she would have been a fine looking youngish woman. As a nearly 70yo in 2019 I'm sure she's a fine looking granny. Everything in its frame of reference. I believe she's fine to walk onto the stage and bounce around pretty well so I guess that makes her a hot granny.

Sure, nearly 30 years ago. My point is that at the time I thought she must be nearly past it. Nobody questions Iggy Pop’s ability to perform or Dylan, Stones etc etc

  • Well said!
