      • "spy" Did you end up ordering the screen protectors from above link? If so can you rapport back with the quality if it fits nicely without hollow edges and sticks nice and flat with decent screen touch and smoothness. Find many cheap screen protectors are a bit hit and miss, especially since screens have come out with 2.5D curved edges, often protectors go too far to edge, and some Full screen are great but some too big and cause bubble effect with hollow touches which is no good.

Will let you know when they arrive.

  • i know this phone is bang for buck … but how long do you think it will last? i mean would you be better to get a flagship that will last 5 years or so? i use my phone for photos, light gaming and surfing, and calls/sms.

    • People getting this most likely can't/don't want to spend the extra money minimum $399+ for a new flagship phone.

Some teenagers or older/clumsy people don't want to use a flagship, definitely not a glass back phone as this is still

plastic. Some others ( who might or not already have a flagship phone ) would be getting this as a

second/back up phone as it's a low cost way to use up to date Android Pie OneUi software and/or

have a nice large Amoled 6.4" screen to enjoy.

  • Sorry but is there any way to find out which company the phone number belong to? Want to buy as gift for someone and not sure if they belong to Vodafone or any of its provider

    • +2

      You can't ask them?

      • It's a gift for elder and want to surprise him so don't want ask him.

        • +1

Look at his phone while he is nana napping.

But it would not be hard to find out by asking them without them suspecting you are going to buy them a phone.

    • +2

Ask him about network coverage in the area, and say you are surprised and tell them your network provider is shitty.. something along those conversation will do the trick

  • This is getting too big to carry around without a handbag

    Hence Females only unless……

    • +1

Or old people like me that need a big screen to see 🤟

    • unless…you get an operation to make your hands larger with functional opposing thumb.

  • Okay so I bought this yesterday and picked up C&C today. I started the steps to unlock the phone, but then just for the hell of it, I tried my Telstra SIM card from my other phone…and it worked. I now put my wife's Optus SIM card in and that works too.

Did they accidentally give me an unlocked phone or is this going to lock up or something?

Both times the phone has connected to mobile data and I made a couple of test phone calls.

    • +1

Hi, do you mean you took steps to unlock the phone on Vodafone website or via the fonefunshop.com as mentioned above?

      • No, I didn't actually do anything to the phone. I was downloading the Samsung files and my PC said one was a virus, so I stopped. That's when I decided to just try another SIM card first, and it worked.

        • +1

Oh ok, its good that it worked for you. When i put my Telstra sim in it, its asking me for a sim network unlock pin. May be you got lucky with an unlocked phone?

          • @omicron: I did a Click & Collect, I'm wondering if the person who "picked" the order in the local Target simply grabbed me an unlocked one by accident.

            Sorry you weren't as lucky.

            • @michaelavelli: If it was an unlocked model you would not have Any Vodafone additions and

certainly no Vodafone Prepaid $30 sim pack included. Any of those?

    • When you installed the Optus and Telstra sim did it ask you for a pin ?

      • +1

No, nothing like that. It just started working immediately.

    • Very good news if same happens to rest of us, I am thinking of buying a second one if that is the case.

    • Mine wants $50 to unlock.

  • What is the color of the phone?
Any chance to get it not in black? here or from a previous deal from AU post

    • +1

      Black only.

  • Bought one today, thanks OP
Anyone has a leftover credit out of 3 to unlock the phone if someone an share please?
Thanks 😊 hoping to have it unlocked as gifting it to my dad!

    IMEI starts with 356…

  • 1) Can anyone tell me if the Vodafone Samsung Galaxy A20 has '3GB' or '2GB' of RAM ?

    2) Can anyone tell me if the Vodafone version is 4GX or just 4G ?
    Coles Telstra A20 Prepaid lists 4GX: https://www.coles.com.au/catalogues-and-specials/view-all-av…

    Cheers

  • stupid Target website malfunctioning. used gift cards and it crashed but took the money out of my cards with no order.

  • Anyone else just get an email saying Target has cancelled your order due to insufficient stock? Grrrrr

    • Same here. Got refunded due to insufficient stock although I believe I purchased it quite early. Suspect there will be many cases like this. Shame on you Target!

      • Just after I'd bought a case for it too.
They did send postage free the $3 Monster Plush Ball I added to the order to get it over $150.

        • To make things worse, now the 50off sale is over amazingly they now have stock again.

    • hmm ok so when I (hopefully) get my refund tomorrow there is no use trying to get them to sell me one because there aren't any?? wasted $150 on Target Gift Cards … !!!

  • Looks like great specs - what are the main differences why someone would get the samsung s10e over this samsung a20? Looks like this one is great value for money for the specs.

So I did a C&C order yesterday and picked up this afternoon.
Was going to start the unlock process but decided to just try the vodafone unlock website first.
And the unlock code was available. Popped in a Optus sim, entered the unlock code and I was good to go!
    Very lucky I must say.

    • +1

You mean you put in your IMEI at Vodafone unlock, pressed NEXT, and it gave you an unlock code without prompting for payment?

      • +2

that's exactly right! using optus sim right now.

        • +2

I had issues with my phone as I noted above tried again and now free unlock 👍

          Every one should try

Just tried a friends also who was going to be $50 now free 👍

          • +2

@justhooked: I bought two and one of them gave me a free unlocking code on VF unlock online as you said - Big thanks!
The other phone's IMEI gave me a fee to unlock so I contacted a VF online chat agent who gave me a fee waiver (as below) - sweet. Good on you VF!

        • +2

Too easy. Put the IMEI in and Vodafone gives you the unlock code for free. Weird. Thanks.

  • Is fonefunshop.com a SCAM ???

Paid for an unlock code and received nothing. Emailed and received no response from the company.

    • +1

Not in my experience. Recieved the code in about 20min unlocked my phone just fine

    • +1

I had the same experience. Send them email and they resended me a code.

  • +2

I kept speaking to VF live chat for 3 days for a free unlock code and checked today, my free code popped up. Using telstra sim now.

  • +2

Spoke to VF live chat for a free unlock request. on my first attempt, agent gave me a free unlock (fee waiver) permission but I didn't activate VF account at that time so tried a second agent after VF account (SIM card activation) created. They both said in order to get a fee waiver, they need my VF mobile number and PIN, then IMEI. Both agents were friendly and supportive. 2nd agent said I can put my IMEI after 24 hours online which will give me unlock information online.

    • Nice. I just went in store and swapped mine for another which unlocked for free off the Voda site.

      • How do you know which can give you a free unlock?

    • "zenzen" Same experience for me step by step as you, except after 48 hrs waiting for txt or email with unlock code nothing sent, so another call and boom, done OTA.

Verry happy with Vodafone and this phone for $150 unlocked.

  • Bought the Samsung a20 Sunday night have not heard from target at all. In my account it just says order placed. Anyone else in the same situation.

    • Yes, my order has been cancelled due to insufficient stock

  • my a20 order just got cancelled :(

  • +1

Mine arrives today and able to get unlock code from Vodafone website at no extra cost

    • I received mine today as well but no free unlocking for me on Vodafone website, asking $50 fee :-(

      • Try contacting Voda live chat, see above comments and mine was same experience as "zenzen."

Worth a try or two to save $50 or even $25 for unlock after 6 months otherwise.
