      I don't get it?

Yes, if you buy me one of the above cases or motherboards you can have the code.

  • Thanks for reminding me of this. I bought a B450M Mortar Titanium a few weeks ago and registered it on the MSI site, went through their weird prize redemption thing (I didn't even know if I was eligible at the time), and then promptly forgot about it. Just logged back in and found I have a code for MHW waiting for me.

    • That's what I'm looking at atm, do you know the difference between the Mortar and the Mortar MAX? I know the BIOS is 256mb instead of 128 but I hear the difference just lets them keep the GUI instead of using text only to save space.

Do you know of any functional differences?

      • MAX ships with Ryzen 3rd gen compatable BIOS. I believe you can flash bios without a CPU on these boards and you will want to update the bios anyway. Probably best to go for whichever looks nice to you.

        • can't find the a MAX variant of the Titanium / White board. The ultimate form over function decision…

  • MSI refused my redemption request because I provided a photo of the serial number on the box. They demanded that I provide a photo of the serial number on the motherboard (inaccessible after installation). Pointing out that under the terms and conditions of their promotion I only have to provide proof of purchase did not help.

Looks like MSI customer service have a bad reputation for a reason. Will not be buying their products anymore.

I also had this BS. Their message stated that anyone could have found the box that I threw away (I think their own instructions even suggested a photo of the box barcode!). Well how would they provide an invoice and invoice #?

Anyway I was able to wedge my phone into my case and get a photo with the flash on. They responded to the resubmission within 20 minutes. Definitely stupid but only a small amount of a work for a free game.

Anyone else who plans to build, grab a photo before you mount the MB. My barcode was on the side of the 24 pin header

      • Thanks. The MSI website incorrectly states that the sticker is on the PCB side of AMD motherboards. With your instructions (and a small mirror) I was able to take a photo of the sticker without disassembling my computer.

I still don't buy the security excuse. I think it's about minimising payouts under the promotion. Otherwise they would be upfront and list the requirement in the terms and conditions of the promotion.

    • I guess what could happen is someone buys the item, photographs the serial on the box and then returns it. If they have to open it, they probably can’t return it.

  • Website keeps returning 404 error on me when i try and view eligible cases.

    • try different browser? Works for me on Firefox

  • Sweet, I have one ready to go

    • Apparently TechMall (eBay store) aren't party of the promo…

      • See my comment below. You might still be able to get yourself something.

        • Thanks but apparently my mobo isn't part of that promo either lol. I have a B450 Tomahawk Max but only the old regular Tomahawk is part of it.

This should probably have it's own deal but anyway. You're able to get either USD $25 or $10 for reviewing come MSI products incl. motherboards.

I wrote them a review on Shopping Express it just received word back from them. They came through with three codes that once exchanged from Taiwanese dollars to AUD came out at $42 (a bit better than the current rate $25 USD to $36 AUD). It's definitely a bit dodgy to be paying people for reviews but hey.
