Not sure why negative But we have had this brand camping fridge for years, great unit and good company to deal with re warranty as they swapped over the lid for us FOC when 1 - it was outside warranty period 2 - we damaged the kid anyway

      Poor kid

  • Looks good, refurb but they state it's cosmetic only or fully repaired. Not as good ratings at Bushman or Engel but at a third of the price with 2yrs warranty and true dual zone, I think I'm in.

Guaranteed to have transported a dead body

      • If it can fit a whole dead body, I'm in!

  • Google says it was $921 before the discount and retailers are selling them new for $968.
Still looks like a good buy, nice find!

Don't know how good is this one. Never able to set correct temperature on our 60L one in the camper. Feels like totally manual control, set temperature and digital temperature display never match. Either use lots of power freeze totally, or not using much and ruining everything inside… sigh

  • It's all about the compressor. They actually have a Secop (was Donfoss) compressor, which is what the expensive brands use, because they're efficient and very reliable.

I bought a different model and I had some questions, i got a response the next day, which was great.

I'm not sure about the dual zone, seems like a waste of cold real estate. But I don't take frozen food away.

The nice thing about moving up from an Esky is all the room that isn't used up by ice - awesome!

    • Waeco chose to move away from the Danfoss/Secop compressors to improve efficency.

        Or margin?

    • Cheaper yes. But could be risky if it breaks down the track. Evakool have been round a fair while and seem to have a good track record. Vs random ebay seller importing someone else's design with likely little support for it.

There is a reason they have so many refurbs to sell.

    Caveat emptor!

    • Sounds to me like they are able to repair what they sell, and do.
