What Klone said… I need to stock up on dark roast crunchy.
Is there a smooth variety of the dark roast, or it only comes in crunchy? I use these for keto cookies so I am not sure if the crunchy will work.
It comes in both smooth and crunchy.

I go half and half, sometimes the normal roast is better for what your using it in.
They are both great, but dark roast is my favourite.
Iv'e tried all the mayvers range and dark roasted crunchy is my absolute favourite, i will be buying half a dozen on wednesday ^_^

Once you go natural PB (especially mayver's), you never go back to the old stuff.
Mayvers is 99.3% peanuts.

Sometimes these have a distinctively "fishy" odour/taste… I wonder if those batches are discounted?
shouldnt be any problem, they say it's 100% peanuts with a touch of salt.
Having eaten probably 50 jars of it in all the different varieties i have never had this experience, are you stirring it with the fish sauce remote?
Yeah I know but… sometimes I buy it, and it tastes like someone added fish sauce. I reckon there is considerable variability in flavour depending on the quality of the peanuts. Actually the fishiness is usually in the dark roast, I guess it's an indicator of rancidity
possibly. i used to work at a juice company that sells into supermarkets. they source their fruits from different places depending on availability at the time, so one batch of apple juice will taste a bit different to the next, could be grown in Victoria or New Zealand. you'd never know if you are a customer. but it never changes the prices, supermarkets tell you when your product is going on special. it's not the supplier deciding to put their product on special.
That would be the Omega-6 fats in the peanuts.

Why do you reckon the smunchy has fewer carbs than the smooth or the crunchy? Only difference looks to be the sea salt. They left more of the oil in the smunchy which dilutes it?
Smunchy always seems like it has less oil to me, they always seems to dry up for the last third of the jar which the smooth and the crunchy ones have never done.
I just bought Dark roasted unstaled SMUNCHY hope it's goosas you say it is.
They all seemed to have oils on top
The oil on top is the yummiest part (on the peanut butter thats lifted through it - not by itself).
