  • Wow, that is a sexy iron!

no heat adjustment dial ….. has a microprocessor that senses “ironing style” and adjusts the temperature. Braun also make one with no dial but only $30 cash back and no discounting.

not sure if works out heat and steam needed based upon how hard you press down and how fast you are pushing the iron ?

picked mine up from the good guys last night so will use over weekend, or monday morning for the business shirt.

      • It takes a few goes to get used to it, then you really appreciate its flexibility and lack of wrecking some of the more difficult to iron fabrics.
The downside it is can take ages to warm up.
I had the model a step down from this that died after about four years. I missed the deal last week, so bought now!

Thanks… been wanting one of these.

Agreed it takes a while to warm up. But I bought one from the GG this week and so far it's been awesome. It's massive!!

Looks like it doubles as a gaming mouse lol

  • This is the best, i have the previous version, never have to worry about ajusting temp anymore

    • How does it go on delicate fabrics?
I’d be worried it was going to fry some of my tops…

It will not, ypu can actually leave it there ON the frabic and go for a cup of tea and come back, this sucker will cool down to proect your clothes, dont recommended but accidentally happened to me before ps my old model was perfect care azur

  • Does anyone know what the cashback is for this? Cashbacks are getting confusing at Amazon with all the different rates but it looks like 7% to me.

Assuming 7%, I was given a $5 promo discount for some reason at Amazon AU. So my post-cashback total will come to $83.92 if I've done the math right. Not bad.

  • I'm don't think purchases from Amazon are included cashback.

    From T&C
Purchase an Eligible Philips Product(s) (as set out in Clause
    16) from any participating Australian retail store during the
Promotional Period and follow the steps below. Trade seconds
products are excluded. Please note that Big W, Target, Costco,
JB Hi-Fi Airport Store and purchases through dental practices
are not participating retail stores for this promotion.

    • I can't find a list of participating stores and Amazon isn't specifically listed as excluded.

      • I doubt Amazon would be considered an 'Australian Retail Store.' Especially if Big W and Target are excluded.

        • There's no reason to think Amazon Australia is any less of an Australian Retail store than Costco, which they felt the need to specifically exclude.

I just asked Philip's online chat support regarding the promotion eligibility and their response was:

Amazon is not in the list for excluded stores so that makes that they are included.

  • I bought it for $170 5 days ago from Amazon, very sad.

    • Me too..will Myer will give the price difference within 30 days?

      • Are you happy with it so far?
