Not going to buy one due to the previous ridiculous prices you put up to take advantage of a stock shortage..

    • what happened?

  • Only really worth it if you want the 4 x 2TB version which works out at being about $10 more than the original HP offer!

Cheaper at warcom. Stock arriving tomorrow. In fact lots of places are getting stock this week.
    http://www.warcom.com.au/computer-hardware/27886_hp-microser…

So I can see why you wanted to get in quick before the next proper bargain shows up.

You are getting closer, but still no cigar. Make it $250 shipped and I'll let it ride, just. Untill then you're better off brodening on ebay at these inflated prices..

  • 3 slots empty???????????

    • 4x 3.5" bays total, with one occupied by the stock 250GB. You can move the 250GB to the 5.25" bay up top, or remove it completely and run via USB..

      • only 2 ram slots though

        • Ahhhh… RAM slots. Didn't bother reading their link, my bad!

        • 8GB not enough for a low-power server??

        • @ freddy

It only comes with 1GB. And with 2 slots, you have to fork out for 2x 4GB sticks if you want 8GB.

        • 2x 4GB is only $70.
It used to cost a lot more than 4x2GB, but not any more.

        • Reg RAM, sure. And you have to ditch the registered RAM that comes with it..

But that's entirely OT…. The post from MegaBuy mentions that it has 1 RAM slot filled with 1GB stick, and 3 free slots, which is wrong.

  • Not bad if you missed out last time.+1

  • unlucky megabuy, cheaper at Warcom and elsewhere. Good luck with your next rort though!

funny now everyone is stocked up and trying to offload it as fast as they can, after the rush would be interesting to see the price drop with overstocks

looks like the microserver market bubble has popped

  • why is it all the retailers now have these in stock while HP still haven't shipped out their orders?

Did HP just ship out stock to retailers and none to consumers? I guess it would work out cheaper that way, less addresses to ship to and less administration?

  • Very bad customer service. Can we please ban this company from ozbargain?

  • You'd think they'd know better than to try this..

  • DEAL OR NO DEAL?

"NO DEAL!" (JUST LIKE THE SHOW)

Hp is shippng stock to retailers rather than consumers since they make a larger profit this way.
