  • Would this be much better than the telstra gateway max?

    • I have had the VR200v for over 2 years and it has been rock solid. I would have no hesitation buying this slightly better model, especially at this price.

The gateway is a solid device it would be in a simile ballpark

$43.68 @ Dick Smith eBay w free shipping if you don't have Kogan First

    • How do you get the free shipping? Link says standard postage $10.99 to my location.

      • +1

They caught onto us, gone up to $11 shipping now.

        • Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Paid $120 3 months. But did get 3 months NBN 50 free since Kogan messed up their modem delivery. So free modem. It's a really really good modem and easy to set up as well. Great app as well.

    This is a reliable router
However it doesn't have good wireless range
And the two WiFi antennas are not removable

  • Don't expect great speeds More than 3 metres away on wireless. Excellent otherwise

  • Good price, but next to none of my devices will take advantage of the wifi bandwidth

  • Hi

Sorry if this is a silly question, will this work for NBN?

    Thanks

Looked it up on Centrecom's website:

      Compatibility

NBN - Fibre to the Node (FTTN) - DSL Modem Router Mode.
NBN - Fibre to the Building (FTTB) - DSL Modem Router Mode.
NBN - Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) - Wireless Router Mode.
NBN - Fibre to the Home (FTTH) - Wireless Router Mode.
NBN - Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) - Wireless Router Mode.
For further information on NBN connections please visit: //www.nbnco.com.au/learn-about-the-nbn/network-technology.html

      Should be fine.

  • How would this compare to the Technicolor TG789vac v2?
    Same wifi hub from Myrepublic.

  • You get this router free with Kogan NBN. Not sure if it's just my router but the speeds I get have been inconsistent, sometimes I get solid 95mbps on the 5Ghz band and sometimes it just drops off the 5Ghz band and only lets me connect to 2.4Ghz. Really really annoying! Was looking to get a Nest Wifi set up but realised that those don't have 802.11ax. Why Google!

  • Deal expired on Kogan and Dick Smith, prices now $139 + delivery and $166 + delivery.

How does the TP Archer compare to other VDSL modems? Any others you guys would recommend? I usually go Linksys as I figure Cisco must know best lol, but recently my WRT1900ACS has been playing up (router only, no modem) so not sure what I should get for an NBN router.

Could you buy a few of these and use them as Wi-Fi extenders?
