  • Anyone has experience with this particular machine?

    • +1

My partner and I bought this same machine about 6 months ago, zero issues so far. Great lil machine actually

    • Bought and use this every week for a year now. No problem whatsoever.

  • i bought it $450 a week ago:(

  • +4

Got the 9KG version for $599 ($509.15 currently) last week and it's running great. Just a note that the time countdown for this washer is an approximate time, it does take longer depending on your water pressure, balance of the load etc. For example, the 15 min wash takes 20 min from pressing start to when END is displayed.

Also for installation, whether by a pro or yourself, there's an optional sound proofing to the bottom of the machine, make sure you do it as it does help a lot with the noise. I can barely hear the motor when on spin, standing next to the machine.

    • What does the sound proofing involve?

      • Fixing two sheets of sound-damping boards and 4 foam surrounds to the bottom of the washer. You'll need to lay the machine on its side to do this. All materials are provided, no tool is required.

        • Hmm I didn't get any of that with my delivery – unless TGG did it prior to delivery?

    • +2

Yeah most washing machines are liars :)
Had a few over the years that will say 20 minutes left for the cycle. Come back in half an hour and it's still going.

  • I just bought this a couple days ago at $499. I'd be spewing if I didn't have Coles MasterCard price protection!!

A decent budget washer, with a 78% Choice expert rating from their second last batch of reviews. Apparently a Fisher & Paykel-owned brand too.

    • whats the highest rated one?

      • +1

        From today's batch of reviews:

        LG WD1411SBW (83%)
        Miele WDD030 (82%)
        AEG LF8E8411A (81%)

    • Haier is not F&P owned, they just use F&P service agents in NZ and probably in Australia too.

Haier is one of the oldest white good makers in China, just not well known outside of China.

      • I should've said Haier owns F&P :)

In 2012, Haier Group bought Fisher & Paykel. Being part of a large global organisation has its benefits and the intention of our parent is to see Fisher & Paykel expand more rapidly than previously planned. https://www.fisherpaykel.com/au/company/about-fisher-paykel.…

        • +1

Good to know! F&P will probably remain their premium brand in Australia then.

  • Btw, if you don't have eBay Plus, you can still get it for $398 directly from TGG

    • +2

No! Even without Plus, you pay only $358 on ebay, using PILGRIM .

      • Ah - the deal title confused me

  • Thanks mate, grab one too.

  • haier imho are the worst washing machine I've ever bought. the 55 minute time saving wash takes about 2 hours, the 15 minutes wash either fails 5 minutes in and dumps all the water out, or gets the load out all wet where you need to run another 10 minutes spin cycle.

    on an unrelated note,
anyone up for a 200$ used washing machine btw??

    • Had a Samsung and Whirlpool that had similar things like that. They cost nearer to the $1000 mark. 55 min wash would take maybe 1 hr 20. Short wash would leave clothes soaking wet. Even some long washes would be the same way. Didn't happen all the time but occasionally. Don't think you'll see all that much difference from going up a tier. Maybe it will just happen a bit less frequently..

      • I would normally agree except I hate this washing machine with grudge.
For example I threw my kid's tee into a wash cycle at 11pm and went to sleep. I woke up around 4am with the washing machine still going. If I would guess based on my programming background is that it needed to reach a specific condition to move on to the next phase of the wash process, and it was stuck in an infinite loop trying to distribute the weight or something. Never seen that happen with my previous LG or Samsungs.

        • Pretty sure you should get it fixed that's not normal at all. Definitely sounds like it's stuck in a timeloop.

Standard slow delivery doesn't even include install and taking away the old machine. Not sure who wants to wrangle a 75kg appliance into their car and house + be stuck with old machine. Better to buy from a shop which includes this in the delivery fee IMO. Most stores have this machine around $390-$400 and some include fast delivery. Only a good deal if picking up and willing to do all that yourself.

  • Bought it for $368 on Friday using another code and discounted ebay gift cards :(.

Can start ebay plus trial and buy again to save $30. Only problem is I don't have enough ebay gift cards to buy again.

Is there there any other way around, ebay price guarantee or something?

  • Has the price gone up? Was gonna get one…. :(

  • I ended up getting this for $290 using the code PPD13, which was the code for the Antler luggage on Black Friday sales. No idea how it worked but it did.

Picked up and installed and all seems to be working well.
