    Actually a UK brand, nice

    65" FFalcon is $598 @ JB
    65" Soniq is $549 @ Amazon

    • The FFalcon seems like a good buy considering its made by TCL. That Soniq is a non-smart TV form 2017, I wouldn't be comparing that to the Linsar or the FFalcon

      • Yeah wouldn't touch Soniq. People saying the builtin chromecast lags like a bitch too. And Soniq won't ever update the firmware apparently.

        FFalcon looks pretty good tbh.

Oh there's also an Akai 65" for $595 @ HN. HN dude told me they get returned a lot lol.

        • AKAI, Viano and JVC are just cheap and nasty :)
TCL suits me fine with 3 years warranty out of the box.

@DannyBoy: Yup! Although my TCL 50" did die within 5 years.

Wonder how nasty Linsar is though?

            • @CVonC: That's not good hopefully they have lifted there game by now

              • +1

@DannyBoy: It was their cheapest model ($399) at the time. So yeah didn't really expect much. But it was much better PQ than the 48" Soniq I already had. Ironically enough, that one is still going!

  • 50" 4k for $269

price per inch , has shot through the roof

  • So I buy or not 😂

price of the 50" is nice. tempting to get it for my cctv monitor :)

    • that would work perfectly cheaper a lot cheaper than an equivalent monitor

      • i ended up going and picking up the 50, problem is when connected to hdmi it flickers. if i reboot the pc it stops. but once i turn the tv off and back on it flickers until i reboot pc again.

        • Mmhhh What could be causing that?

          • @DannyBoy: well changed hdmi ports on my gpu and it runs fine now.

            • @Crumydog: Weird faulty port maybe?
              Perfect so bargain then

              • @DannyBoy: must be mate, havent bothered to try anything else in it lol.
