Update from shopback rep: Unfortunatly we got beaten to posting the offer and couldn't control the T&Cs on the post. We understand that this isn't your fault and have decided to also honor all user's transactions that came through during the flash sale even if they made multiple transactions.

The Gift Card Balance should be 'valid on orders paid for with gift cards'?

It would have been nice if rep was upfront about only being single transaction at time of posting. It looks like a number of people were caught in this clause, which has stopped me from ordering further.

    • +3

shopback should at least honour 20% cashback on the highest order placed between 5-6pm.

A shame they've gone quiet after all these comments.

    • +1

Pointing out rep is not the one who posted this deal. It was an OzBargainer.

The issue I have is the T&Cs for all these cashback offers through SB and CR are not clear enough. They are open to interpretation and then you are at their mercy whether they pay out or not.

      • +2

The Shopback T&Cs mentioned orders made between 5-6pm.

        Cashback Details
Valid for Orders Placed Between 5pm and 6pm AEDT ( Capped at $50.00 ) 20.00%

I might have been blind but I could not see the stipulation of single transaction in the landing page and the T&C on shopback Amazon page either.

        • +1

You’re not blind. It wasn’t there.

    • +13

Unfortunatly we got beaten to posting the offer and couldn't control the T&Cs on the post. We understand that this isn't your fault and have decided to also honor all user's transactions that came through during the flash sale even if they made multiple transactions.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend :)

      • hey rep, just for the record, is it AEDT, not AEST, and if so, in terms of this promo the time is currently 6:15pm? I'm guessing my transaction missed out by 5 minutes…

      • LEGEND!

      • -1

        wtf i just cancelled 10 orders…that is amateur…

      • You "could" control the T&C's on your landing page for the offer, and it didn't state it there either. It was quite the mess, you have people that stopped ordering (like me) because of the late BTW and then you have other people that have cancelled there subsequent orders. The only people your offer appeases is those that stuck it out and didn't cancel the multiple orders.

      • Thanks for honoring the transactions.

    • -2

Seems deliberately misleading because the terms and conditions said max $50 cashback on orders, Emphasis on plural for the word orders.

      • The pluralar form pertains to orders made by everybody as a collective, not an individual.

  • Just got this and signed up with ZIP pay for extra 10% off with 3 minutes to spare! Thanks OP!!! :)

    PS4 500GB for $179! Bargain!

Didn't need it though, so just got Ring Fit Adventure for $96.

Edit. Seeing these 2 prices together, the ps4 is such a good deal! Blu ray player, streaming player, video games, dual shock 4 controller, 500gb hard drive.

Can't see anything limiting this to one order? (It literally says orders)

The keyword being "orders" - implying multiple orders are eligible.
We should get the authorities to investigate these misleading practices.

      • +1

I'll wait and see what they honour, I made three purchases, which wouldn't total over $50 cashback, so I think they are obliged to honour it. If you were trying to make multiple purchases to get more than $50 I think they could argue the point, but under $50 they don't appear to have an argument for limiting multiple orders.

      • That's ambiguous though. Orders in the plural might not be pertaining to your orders, but all of our orders collectively.

So I placed an order, and you placed an order, both of our orders will be eligible for cashback but it does not necessarily imply that each person is allowed to make more than one order.

  • +3

Noooo, the one hour I’m not spending way too much time refreshing ozbargain and I miss this. Hope a few of you scored good deals!!

  • I think I just got in before 6pm or on the dot. OP is there a way to confirm the order was in the time period?

I had to cancel my previous order and combine them as wasn't sure on the one per account

    • op doesn't work for SB

    • Check order confirmation email from Amazon.
