  • Kayano's don't seem to be listed in the Black Friday section - only Nimbus 21 and GT2000

<edit> don't mind me, is from 12-1pm only

    • currently seems to be reasonable amount of stock in various sizes and colours

  • Ahh man. Paid $176 for Kayano 26s from the same guys just a few weeks ago.

My kayanos crumble after 12 months.. i dunno why I keep buying new ones

    • +1

Mine too but to be fair I’m clocking up a heap of km’s in them

    • +3

Only asics Running shoe with high arch support, most comfortable shoe.

Mine do as well. In fact after using the 26's for only 2.5 months, some areas of the black rubber on the sole have already worn right down. I only use them for walking, no running at all. There is also a small tear in the upper of the toe box area so I sent them back to the retailer to send off to Asics for warranty claim. Apparently Asics are very fair with warranty claims so I shouldn't have any problems getting a refund.

I try to get 12 months out of mine but I only use them for casual and walking. I wouldn't want to be running in shoes that are going on 12 months old.

    • Happen to mine too, bought overseas and ASICS days it's normal wear and tear, I call BS. I also wear gt1000 and they have lasted more than a year. The difference is Kayano made in China and gt1000 made in vietnam

Here's a picture, gt1000 left, Kayano 3 months in the the right

It appears that the lateral side of the outsole is wearing out for your Kayano — you are actually not an over-pronator and shouldn't have bought stability shoes like Kayano (or even GT1000).

        • Really, so you think I would be more neutral?

          • @Vash1984: Disclaimer: I'm not a podiatrist and I'm just judging by the outsole wear pattern of your Kayano. However you might want to ask someone to take a slowmo video of you running to see whether you are over-pronating. GEL Cumulus or Nimbus from ASICS might suit you better.

    • Went from Kayanos to NB 1260s. Awesome shoes, and durable as.

  • Do you have any extra wide pairs? I think I'm a 4E Size 7/8, would you have any available?

  • +1

are you related to mel gibson by any chance

  • Expired!

    • Sale is supposed to be from 12 to 1pm EST?

That's now! Did I miss it?

      https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-huawei&sxsrf…

      • Exactly. Had a pair in my cart and now showing full price.

12 to 1pm EST not AEDT.

OP needs to fix listing to correct advertised price.

        • Hope they reactivate the deal considering the wrong time was posted. Please Tom :)

      • You snooze, you lose..

        • OP must have been snoozing when they posted this… advertising the wrong sale time.

          • @tranter: I messaged the OP during the advertised sale time period. Waiting for a response.

  • Snagged a pair. I bought some Kayano 23's a year ago for slightly less, they're just about flogged out now but thats fair use to me.

  • New runners sorted =)

Ladies, head over to Kogan and get the black friday / cyber monday
special 1/2 price on the Kayano 25 lite show, bargain at $85
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/asics-womens-gel-kayano-25-lite…
    - special price appears in the cart when added.
    - lots of sizes available, use the size selector.
Love Asic Kayano, best cushioning & good overpronating support (gt2000 a little better support but less cushioning).
Bargain, ordered mine on the weekend :)

    • Except, I’m not 100% sure those Kogan ones are ladies. (And they are grey imports) The header and sizing chart says Women but description says Men’s. Everywhere shows those colours as Men’s not Womens.
And they don’t say what width.

  • That's a hot price on an awesome shoe, nice! (I got three sets of kayanos atm!)

Anyone receive their order yet? I got a tracking number the day after my order but status still says information received.

    • Still on its way. I think AusPost is currently swarmed with Black Fridays backlog orders. Although, my Amazon order show up 3 days later (I reckoned Amazon must have an set performance agreement with Auspost, they always turn up faster than the rest of eParcels)

      • Yea my Amazon packages always comes within 1 business day, they must have a special deal.

    • Mine says , Shipping information approved by Australia Post which means the shipping labels have been printed and Australia Post hasn’t actually received the package yet.

My tracking number is XXHGKXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I’m wondering if the shoes are actually coming from Hong Kong.

      • Same. Quite disappointing tbh

    • Mine came last Friday - just collected it from the PO today (I'm in Melbourne)

      • Can you please let us know where the origin is?

        • +1

Says it's from Tullamarine, Victoria 3043

My tracking number started with 33HGK00

          • @blueyez: My tracking just got updated, still in Victoria, Somerton. Looks like AusPost still struggling to get the parcels out.

            • @cloudie9: I ordered a men's shoe, don't know if maybe they wait for stock from elsewhere before posting? No idea.

Maybe give them a call to query.

      • I’m in Melbourne too and still haven’t received it.

I emailed them: here is the reply
We apologise for the delay with your order. Please be assured your order has left our warehouse and is with Australia Post for delivery.

Unfortunately some tracking links are not updating in the Australia Post online system and if your tracking link does not appear to be working it is unlikely the link will update until your order has arrived and calling Australia Post for an update will not provide any more information.

If your order has not arrived by close of business Wednesday 11th December please contact us again.

We appreciate you understanding that these difficulties are out of our control and thank you for your patience.

    • Another one in the same boat here. Nothing updated on the tracking since the 3rd.

    • I got the same email but the date now says Sunday 15th.

  • +1

I now have an email from Australia Post saying it’s on its way. Due 12-16th December.

  • Just received my shoe after 12 freaking days from Vic to SA.

    • I’m still waiting… on another note just bought some Kayano 25s from Kogan for $65…

      • I’ve had enough shoes to wear. lol

  • Received on the 13rd VIC Metro to VIC Metro delivery. Not sure how come it took so long (received parcels earlier that were ordered after these)

  • Purchased some Kayano 26.

They sent me an email mid afternoon on 2/12 saying the item was out of stock but stock was due to arrive at warehouse 12/12.

Today is the 16/12 and seeing as I hadn't heard anything decided to click on the Order Status link in the email.

    What do I see?

    Status is Waiting
    Date is 11/2/20

What the heck? I'm going to have to wait 2 months for these shoes? Are you kidding me.

    • Might as well cancel it and go elsewhere…

      • Yep…in process of cancelling my order with them now :)

I just needed to confirm with them that what I was seeing was correct - unfortunately it was.

        • Feel sorry for you. Its a good deal but they just way too slow.
