+14 votesISO happy to see this price but looks like they've pulled the shutter on the deal as the price has changed. While it's blurry if they'll honour it, their t&c's are quite focussed on reducing their exposure to losses from underpricing. Hope it's not all negative though and some of you score one..

Hmm. My comment is negged because I question that this is legit. I am in fact a photography enthusiast which tells me they aint going to be selling this at this price legitimately plus $125 postage is crazy. Will wait to see how this plays out. I suspect that this is one of those too good to be true bargains.

cruise control on 05/08/2011 - 03:37 ¶lol looks like another deal has received the ozbargain treatment :D
ScottLetts on 05/08/2011 - 07:29 ¶Bummerrrrrr! What a fantastic lens if it actually goes for ~$170 inc postage!
Keep us posted ozb'ers

The last time I saw a lens ridiculously discounted on an online store was the Canon 85mm L. Ordered 2 and then was told it was below their cost and I got my money refunded (after having to call them up). Those were pre-OzB days from memory.
It'll be interesting to see if anyone who put in an order will get this.
I wouldn't have minded this lens. Would have made me reconsider going on another wildlife Safari. A 70-300mm lens was adequate but I wanted more reach for some shots.

A small business isn't going to sell way below cost price to keep customers happy.
Result: You won't get it.
Nobody is going to give you $500 for free.

Just a general question. If one of you made a mistake and as a result somebody tried to take advantage of you and told others to go and have a go at you as well, how would you feel?
If your wondering why I ask, it is because I'm wondering what happened to good ethics and honesty in this world.
