    • It seems the website and terms and conditions were built/drafted on the basis of a marketplace platform, but you can clearly see on the product (and about 10 others I tested) that all the "Sellers" are Walla (if you check the code on the product pages the walla logo is in the seller summary section).

Maybe OP can clarify this. Odd T&C's though.

Hi Guys - that's actually exactly right. The Ts and Cs have basically been futureproofed as the software is built for marketplaces. I can vouch for the accuracy of the listing however,as I uploaded it myself.

        • Will you get any more stock?

  • Could be a good gift for people I'm terrible with buying Xmas gifts

  • According to the user manual thanks to "long live" franco cozzo for the link, anyhow Bluetooth version is "Bluetooth version V2.1+EDR". This is a really old version of Bluetooth. Bluetooth connectivity have made leaps and bounds in range, quality and reliability, particularly with Bluetooth version 4.0 and 5.0.
I wouldn't be expecting too much from a speaker with Bluetooth 2.1!!

    • That is too old I'll try cancel my order for that

      • …all promo material / reviews etc indicate its been on the market since mid 2017 so not that old

        • Bluetooth 2.1 is alot older I'd expect 4.1 at least

        • +1

I mean its $19 - looks good (subjective), 8 hr playback, shockproof, dustproof, waterproof at IP57, built in mic, USB cable strap and reviews say it sounds pretty good.

          • @exc3113nce: I already have an x50 and an x300, unless it was considerably better sounds I can't see myself buying a 4rd portable speaker… if I didnt have the x50 I would have got this just for the mic support

        • +1

If you go to the link that franco cozzo posted above, you'll see on page 9 that it states that "Bluetooth version V2.1+EDR". I copied and pasted it from the user manual for this speaker. Just because it's Bluetooth 2.1 doesn't mean its old. Bluetooth 5.0 was introduced in 2016 but many phones and speakers are still released with Bluetooth 4.0 4.1 or 4.2. Philips maybe just being stingy by releasing this speaker using Bluetooth 2.1!!

Specifications state compatibility with with Android 2.1 and Bluetooth 2.1 or above.

    I interpret this differently…

    • Then you're not looking at the manual here it is Page 9 it states "Bluetooth version V2.1+EDR". I saw the statement that you quoted in the advertisement and I thought the same thing, but as I was considering buying it I thought I should check, so I looked at the user manual and it clearly states that this device is Bluetooth 2.1.

      • Thanks for that

  • Sold out, thanks for the fish.

  • Has anyone received an order confirmation from Walla via email? I only have a screenshot from the website indicating that the order was confirmed so there's no way to check on the order status afaik.

      Hi Skeletor,

Is there anything in your spam? Welcome to PM me with your email address if you want me to resend.

      • Thanks. I have resolved the issue. I had thought that a search on gmail included the spam folder yet I was obviously mistaken!

No worries at all - have a great Christmas!

          • @Walla: Hi Just PMd you , I havent recieved the order invoice , payment already gone from my paypal . Can you pls reply

      • My email also went to spam. Might want to get that sorted!

    • +1

yes. received paypal immediately then walla invoice shorty after…(went straight to spam in my gmail so check all your folders)
item dispatched email received late yesterday arvo….
tracking number not yet active on auspost

      • Go to love that auspost app to alert you

  • received today….not too shabby at all for $19 delivered

    • Can you control playback from the device back to your phone? Mine is in dumb bluetooth mode; connects and plays fine, but it seems to just be a speaker with no synced controls. Possibly this is the drawback of BT2 device.

Using an LG G7 with Android Pie.

      • …1st connection: no. could control audio volume but wouldnt allow for play/pause/next track function
…did a reset (+ and -) powered up & reconnected to phone and everything is now available…all functions inc. play/pause/next track and speaker connects to phone on power up

  • I purchased this and it arrived yesterday, unfortunately it is not working as I'd hoped..
The 4 lights come on when I hold the power button, but when I hold the BT button nothing happens. Aux input also doesn't work.
I have tried holding the + / - buttons for 7 seconds but this just switches the device off, I have also tried holding the BT button for 20 seconds as per the troubleshooting manual but all I got was a sore finger..

    • I had the same problem and was getting frustrated with the suggested fix.
I couldnt even get it to work with an Aux cord but then I did the +/- reset while the cord was in, coincidentally it started working.
It also went immediately into pairing mode.

      • Do you mean when you did the + / - reset when you had the charger cable in?
How long did you hold the + / - reset for?

        • I did with power in and seperately with the Aux in.
Didnt count properly but 5-10 secs?
As well as the 4 white lights, there is a 5th light (blue) that finally flashed.
          It felt like just luck

@Cinnamon Crunch: All good, I sent back to Walla for a refund/replacement.

            • +1

@harrylay: Thats a shame, hopefully a replacement. I spent most of the day pushing random buttons thinking I would have to get it fixed.
I have way too many speakers but liked this for the shape. It fits into my 10" tablet bag and you wouldnt even notice, so good for when I travel.

  • Mine arrived today, for some reason in pink, as opposed to the blue one I ordered. The battery seemed to be completely flat (red LED lighting up for a split second when pressing the power button. Had it on charge for an hour, getting white LEDs now, but no luck getting into pairing mode.

    • Hi Thundersmurf - can you please email [email protected]? I'll ask them to keep an eye out for your message and assist you on this one!

    • Mine also won't pair with any bluetooth devices. I've fully charged it and the battery lights display. But the Bluetooth button doesn't appear to do anything. I've followed the user manual instructions.
I've just sent an email the the Contact Us page on the Walla website.

  • …this speaker's battery is pretty decent
running a test @50-60% volume and its been going for nearly 18+ hours nonstop playback!

    • …managed to get 21hrs 33min playback before the recharge indicator came up… a lot more playback time than expected although this of course will be shorter at greater volumes…still impressive for a suggested 8 hrs playback
