WTF…is my memory playing tricks or did the price just go from $49 to $51.95??? :o

    • +5

Your memory's not playing tricks. junglejumble is playing tricks.

      • Mistake, sincere apologies. Paypal fees for small ticket items are out of control.

  • Can we get a deal for the charger and 8 X AAA batteries insted?

  • can we have the usual charger+4 battery pack deal too?

  • +3

I will pay $40 for this deal, including delivery. Make it happen junglejumble!

    • +2

I guess the quick charger cost a lot more than the normal charger.

    • We offer the best prices possible for OzB members already.

  • +1

junglejumble, any chance of getting the Sanyo AA XX 2500mAh?

    • not as yet will advise when ready

  • -5

FRO: these batteries are $2 each in hong kong (hkd60/4). They are small and not that heavy, so cheap to ship here.

Not sure how much the charges are, but not much IIRC.

Nice profit margins if you can get away with it…….

No neg. Just telling you the facts.

    • Facts…A gray area there for sure. You can't get genuine Eneloop batteries for this price.

Check such forums as this one for details http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?238390-En…

The batteries provided come from Sanyo Australia and are verifiable as Australian stock by the 5c per battery donation to Clean up Australia Foundation

      • I'm going to order a pack… however, I must say, it surely shouldn't be that hard to imitate a design that would say '5c donation' on the pack.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, how do we know that 5c per battery is actually going to the aforementioned fund?

Still, for a legit pack, nice price ;) thank-you :)

        • -3

Nobody's going to fake a 5c sticker. But just because it has that sticker doesn't mean it's any better.

It's meaningless as Hong kong prices are not available here.

        • Ty Isa for your comments and order. Your comments are true but somehow I can't see Sanyo Australia sitting on their hands if they found out fakes were being printed and distributed within Australia especially considering they are donating to Clean Up Australia

      • -4

Australian stock = lots of people adding their mark-up.

        • Another generalised statement showing little knowledge

  • -5

5c per battery? Who cares? If you want to give to charity, go ahead!

Are these batteries made in Australia? No! So, you are paying double what you could be for identical items. Do you really think you are going to claim on the warranty within 12 months on a battery???!!! Do you think Hong Kong is a third world, dodgy place? The FACT is that these batteries can be bought overseas for half the price.

The seller is going to argue the toss to try to justify his prices - that's a cert.

But the fact is that these small objects can be bought for 50% of these prices overseas. Like I said - no neg, just facts.

    • Do you think Hong Kong is a third world, dodgy place?

Third world, perhaps not if you're dazzled by the bright lights & glitzy cityscape; but you might want to ask the poor folks living in 'cage homes' about their standard of living!

Dodgy, hell yeah…there's some shonks operating out of HK just as there are out of mainland China…you've also got to remember there's still an influx of immigrants from the mainland looking for opportunity too!

I am a rep TightWad but your comments are out of wack. The beauty of Eneloop batteries from an environmental standpoint is clear, disposable batteries in general are inadequate and millions eventually end up in landfill. The fact Sanyo Australia is donating 5c for each battery sold towards clean up Australia is if anything a positive gesture.

Where are you looking for these batteries anyways? Ebay? I guarantee you, there are many fakes and no you can't buy Genuine article Eneloop OS for 50% below our prices. Provide some links, would be happy to prove you wrong.

  • How long does it take for dispatch after paying by Paypal?

    • 1 day max at the moment

  • How's this deal from Amazon: Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH Charger and 8 Rechargeable AA and 4 Rechargeable AAA Batteries for $36.25

    http://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-Eneloop-Charger-Rechargeable-Bat…

  • In the past I've always opted for slow chargers figuring slow = better at the cost of convenience. Is the included quick charger okay in the long run ?

    • +1

Quick chargers are for convenience and will of course shorten the life cycle of batteries in comparison the the slow chargers. Personally, when your talking about a battery within 1500 cycles it doesn't really seem that important.

      • Thanks, I suppose when you look at it that way 1500 cycles is a lot.

  • OP, consider the following options:

    1. charger plus 2AA and 2AAA batteries.
    2. charger plus 4 AAs and 4 AAAs.
    3. charger plus 4 AAs
    4. charger plus 4 AAAs.

Give Ozbargainers a good deal and you sure will get more business.

  • Eneloop are the best rechargeable batteries I've ever used they have a lot longer shelf life (holding their charge when not being used) after charging than most other rechargables. (I am not a rep)

  • -6

This appears to be well overpriced for 8 AA batteries, even if Sanyo could hold the energy to launch the Apollo moon lander to earth after about 37 years - give or take.
    No Deal

Can you cleanup the moon as well?

    • +1

Might want to lay off those pills dude. Rockets, moons, TV show. These are just batteries ;)

      • +1

Yep, at the very least I'd be recommending fastdude conduct an immediate change of the bong-water! :p

    • I'm a sucker for negative votes. Everytime I see one, I have to go in and read what it is. Disappointingly, this negative comment hasn't convinced me to make a vote (either way) on this deal.

  • Ordered 5th August, received today.
