Really? I looked at the items. Other than the cantilevered umbrella, it's a dud. Mostly blankets, sheets, cushions, junk.

      • Yeah looks like all the stuff/colours they couldn't sell. Still, a couple of things caught my eye.

  • Alex Drawer for 79 is not bad, shame none left in Perth been waiting for it to go on sale.

  • Don't forget the $10 voucher for joining IKEA Family: https://www.ikea.com/ms/en_AU/family/home.html

Here's mine, doubt it'll still work for anyone but hey, could be a standard code and I enjoyed the formatting so thought I'd share lol:

you have to scan the two barcodes in the email

      1. your Ikea family membership
      2. the $10 barcode.

      Alternatively,

      1. use online for click & collect >$500
      2. pay delivery

If you go into the store maybe. But you can just enter the code on IKEA and effectively it's free delivery (which is normally $9), and this coupon can be regenerated for as many emails as you want.

        Alternatively it stacks with click&collect, <$500 it's +$10, >$500 it's +$30 (As C&C is a +$20 coupon on item pickup >$500).

  • Any reviews on the mattress anyone?

      go with zzz atelier..

      • I am looking for a mattress for myself and wondering the same.
I have zzz atelier for my children and they work great but no side support. I wonder if the ikea ones are better, my guess it maybe not if they are flat/vacuum packed.

        • I find that the zzz mattresses are worth more than they sell for compared to some of the expensive brands. If you are happy with zzz, then stick with them. Do you roll over at night that u need sides?

          • @stockastics: More just sitting on the sides etc it completely collapses. I know this is done rarely and I don't know if it would effect my sleep as I have never slept without side support. Probably not, but interested if these IKEA ones are any better.

            • @leyton01: I bought this mattress a few years ago at the same half price discount. I've got the medium one but prefer soft which it doesn't come in. Anyway it's actually really quite supportive (I sleep on my back or sides, move around a lot and don't get affected by another person sleeping on it too). Comes with pocket springs and also in hard variant. As for sitting on the edges if that's what you meant, it compresses about a quarter of the way down (I weigh around 73kg). Goes down more if you plonk your ass on the edge instead of your thighs of course. It comes rolled in a box. You can try the mattresses out in store too.

    • Ikea customer service is really good (at least it was for me) if you have a problem. After 8 years my Ikea mattress failed and they offered a full refund, or store credit with the inclusion of free delivery and removal of the old mattress if I used that credit on a new mattress.

has anyone seen the episode 'deadly dressers' of the documentary series 'broken' on netflix?
ikea has murdered children. i'm not being hyperbolic.
as tempting as some of their products and prices are, i just can't shop there.

    • So does every furniture retailer. At least IKEA provide wall anchors for free. Go to Amart furniture or Harvey Norman to see if they care.

It's just common sense and self responsibilities. If the dresser didn't kill the children, the idiot parents will find other ways to kill them. Leaving them in the cars seems to be a very effective way recently. Oh, are you going to blame the car manufacturers as well?

      • -1

        have you watched the documentary?

IKEA DID NOT originally supply wall anchors. and they new it was dangerous not to because they said in their instructions that people should get their own.

they sold a product they new was unsafe. and told the consumer THEY had to make it safe.

then they refused to recall it and even more children died before they finally started the recall.

and no but i do blame car manufacturers when they do the same thing - refuse to recall cars they know are unsafe, which they do.

Keep calm and wait until boxing day sale :)

  • every item has to be checked for local availability - where's the postcode filter?
