280

You could earn 1500 Telstra Points by linking your Boost Prepaid Account with Telstra Account. Ponits multiply by 10 depends upon how much you spent on Boost SIM.

When you activate your SIM through Boost Online Chat then they will ask if you have any existing Telstra Account. Or you can ask the online chat rep to link the accounts

    How do you do it?

    • I just checked my transaction history on Plus and my points must have been auto-added because the 1500 are there with my $150 spend and I didn't do anything to achieve it.

Hmmm, they are telling me there is no way to link Boost and Telstra - "I'm afraid we have no option to have your Boost account added to your Telstra Myaccount, Since Boost is still consider as a different service provider".

        Any ideas?

        • Scratch that, my Telstra account has two points entries, so I have got one for my Boost account. Looks like they are separate on the same account. Website says they can be combined.

  • what can you get with 1500 points?

      Mars bar

        Fun size

  • Also keen to know how to link them.

Nothing about this on the website. Is this fake news like your chromecast post?

Indeed there's nothing on the website, but here's my points. It's a thing. $150 is the Boost recharge, $129 is my home broadband spend.

You spend $129 on home broadband! Doesn't look good on Ozbargain!

        • I'm a cheapskate but I find Telstra 100/40 fibre the only internet service that services my needs 100% of the time, so I'm happy to pay for it. I've tried 18 ISPs, including Aussie Broadband; none match the quality Telstra provide. Sorry. I actually like using my internet at peak hour and on long haul links, both things that Telstra never compromises.

I should add that the $129/m includes a Telstra TV and a 2 year Foxtel Now subscription (something I'd purchase separately anyway).

You get 10 points per dollar.
$150 would normally give you 1500 points anyway.

    It's just linking.

  • Mine have always been linked automatically since I set them up earlier this year.

    • how'd you link it?

      • No idea.

The numbers are just there in my Telstra account. I didn't do anything special to get them there.

        • So your Boost pre-paid numbers show up in your My Account Dashboard? I tried linking my Boost number to my Telstra account and received an error saying that the number was already linked to my profile, although I hadn't linked it in the first place.

          • @twjr: When I click on any of the offers in the Rewards sections, I get 4 options to add the offer.
One is from my Bigbond Cable account, the other three are for Boost accounts.

I added a new Boost account 2 days ago and it is already showing in Telstra Rewards.

  • I got this from online chat

You cannot do that and no one can do that .
    Romelyn - Now

    They are different providers.

    • I got the same!

  • ok so how do I get a telstra plus account, can this be retrospective, and what can I get with these points?
so I need to be a telstra customer which is unlikely at this point.

Have an account with Telstra …

so I need to be a telstra customer which is unlikely at this point.

Did you honestly think you could access a Telstra rewards system without being a customer?

      • -1

well I am on boost so I thought it might extend to resellers as well.

  • Tried on chat. Not possible to add this retrospectively.

  • Telstra rep on chat is refusing to allocate 1500 points. They are saying only Telstra service can earn points?

  • I am a Telstra customer and I have a Telstra Plus account. I also have 4 x Boost prepaid services. I contacted Boost chat and they told me that it is not possible to get any Telstra points from the Boost subscriptions, whether for activating a new sim with Boost, or otherwise. Simply not possible

It's a bit like the AFL Live subscription, which seems to be available for free some years via my Boost pre-paid subscription and not available other years, and all entirely randomly.

Does anybody have some concrete proof that points are available, or are being earned?

    • concrete proof

Everything at telstra is random, some will get it some won’t. I was with boost last year and got points from a recharge.
