Is the 20pro much better than the regular Mate 20?
Me and my partner picked up 2 x Mate 20s around 2 months ago for $500 each from JB, just seems like a lot more money for not a lot more IMO.

      Yep much better

      • I'm using Mate 10 pro currently, and it's still going strong. But tempted with the wireless charging and probably better camera.
Tempting but should I jump now? or next model.

        • If I had a mate 10 (which I did) I wouldn't upgrade to the mate 20. I'd go to the mate 20 pro. The benefits to the pro are the camera, OLED screen and waterproof plus an easier to handle aspect ratio (whether this floats your boat or not is another matter).
I'd consider these material reasons to opt for the pro.

Absolutely not. I bought both and sold the Pro. The Mate 20 is amazing.

Both these listed phones have Google services available.

      • -4

Will they continue to get Google updates?

    • +2

Strange to see someone so adament about giving their data away so that they lose money later on … or "google services" as they call it.

  • Any deals for the regular mate 20?

  • I can't seem to get the code to work. Just says could not be applied to this order…

EDIT: Got it to work. Mobileciti seems to have 2 lisitngs so I clicked the other one and applied the code.

Decent price for the P30 pro.

Mmm very nice and if it can be coupled with a os trip would be very tempting hmmm

Just so you know that the vodafone branded for Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro are both single sim . It is not completely clear on the ebay link's main page .

    • Cheers. What exactly is vodafone branded? Is that different to being locked to the Vodafone network?

Thanks for clearing the sim status up as it said LYA-L29 on the listing which I thought was dual sim but when I got confirmation from Mobileciti it stated LYA-09.

      • Hi I just do not understand two Huawei Mate 20 Pro products in list. One is call "HUAWEI MATE 20 PRO (4G, 128GB/6GB) - BLACK / MIDNIGHT BLUE". Product description said "Note: The Unbranded variants are Dual SIM 4G/4G, the Network Branded variants are Single SIM."

Another one is called "Huawei Mate 20 Pro (Single Sim, 128GB/6GB, VF) - Black - [Au Stock]". It does not say it is dual sim.

Just want to confirm the first one is dual sim, right?

        • Define "the first one". The first listing has MULTIPLE options. And the UNBRANDED version is out of stock, so no, the first one can be either single or dual SIM, as of now, only single SIM versionis available.

          • @dotJaz: Oh yes, you are right. I did not notice that. Thank you!!

  • Finally

  • Anyone having issues with Optus Sim card setup in P30 pro? I cannot configure call forwards etc with Optus Sim cards but when using Telstra or Vodafone sim cards it's totally fine.

I was recently in the market for a new phone. Did hours and hours of research and settled on the Mate 20 Pro which was on special at JB for $699. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend.

After a couple of months I'm still marvelling at the display, it is stunning (and better/higher res than the P30 Pro).
Ticks all the important boxes for me - quality camera, great battery life, fast charging, dual-sim, never any lag/crashing, heaps of storage AND it's the perfect size - not too big, not too small.
I've also found the fact it has infrared surprisingly handy too (very rare to find in phones these days).

  • Having trouble to decide between
    Samsung a70 $500
    Xioami k30 64gb with shipping $390
Or this huawei mate 20 Pro $680

    Which one would u buy?

    • I would choose the mate 20 pro out of that list.
But considering the price of $680 there are other options I would consider such as OnePlus 7T, Realme X2 pro, Redmi K30 Pro ( Release March 2020).

  • Can someone explain what Vodafone network branding means for the mate 20 pro?
Does it mean its locked to the Vodafone network

    • It's not lock. It has Vodafone logo when you open it.

  • Hey can tell me what the "Vodaphone branded" means. I'm thinking of getting this as a birthday present, will it work with other simcards not from Vodaphone?
