  • Getting error "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase." at checkout. Thanks

    • +1

I just purchased using the supplied code and it worked fine, not sure why you would be getting an error ….

  • Is this the upgraded version.

  • Good value cheers op Been waiting for this.

  • Would this also be good for portrait photography?

    • +3

In a studio sure, if your model will stay still for you and you use a tripod (slow shutter speed), but you would need flash/strobe to overpower sunlight or to stop motion for very fast moving things (kids, water drops, etc). These might not be large enough without diffusers for big soft lighting that a lot of people want for portraits. If you were doing some kind of video work or product photography where the subject and camera don't move, they would be great.

I've never used constant LED lighting for portraits but quite a few photographers have moved that way. I'd recommend checking out some youtube videos of how people use LED lights like this. eg.

      (just the first few results).

  • Anyone knows if it comes with Battery and charger too?

    • Dude read the description. Battery sold seperately, however you can get generic batts and chargers on ebay, alie etc for cheap though.

  • So tempted to get rid of all my horrible spiral lights and boxes for this.

    • I moved from softboxes with energy saver bulbs to this exact kit and I couldn't be happier. Cooler, smaller, lighter, easily just as bright.

  • I'm tempted but no barn doors included. Can you offer a deal on the 660 LED kit? Those come with barn doors.

  • To impulsivenugget, thanks for reply. Still getting error. Have sent message to seller via their website. Was hoping the op was watching this thread,

    • Sorry for late reply, I just tried the code again. I actually did get the error "An Error Occurred" once, then when I clicked apply the coupon again, it worked that time for whatever reason. Seems like some kind of backend Amazon error, if it keeps happening, I would try hitting up their CS chat or something.

  • You guys got a deal on 4x batteries, i got the lights and pretty happy so far.
