Do you need to be an Optus Prepaid customer to get this deal? How much does this cost?

    • Yes

You must be within your recharge expiry period to purchase the Add On.
      and
The Optus Sport Add On is available on all Optus Prepaid plans (excluding Coles Prepaid and Prepaid Mobile Broadband).

That implies you need to have an active prepaid account. All plans listed here excluding the data only plans will work with the add on

  • is there like a way to purchase a year worth of this at $5

    • No - it doesnt work like Game pass

    • 3 Months Maximum:

It's possible to purchase another Optus Sport Add On before the previous one has expired. You can stack your subscriptions up to a maximum of 84 days (e.g. 3 x 28 day Add On = 84 days access). To view your balance, visit the My Optus App.

However I'm not sure if it's necessary, unless this is a limited time promo? The way the webpage reads, it sounds like it's indefinite?

  • Can't sign up. Just runs around in circles. I'm on the 365 day prepaid plan that expires in over 40 days.

  • has anyone actually got this to work? we bought the $5 add-on but there's no way to log into the sports app. Have had multiple sessions with online support and on they phone. They just have no idea how to make it work

  • So Optus Sport is a $5/mth add-on for prepaid.

So being non-Optus and wanting Sport, surely I can get a $30/186 day (6 mth) starter kit and add $5/mth to that, which makes $60/yr for the SIM plus $60/yr for Optus Sport, totalling $120 rather than just paying $14.99 monthly access fee for Sport ($180/yr).

    Right?

    • Did it work?
