The last 4 months of Games with Gold have brought us TT Isle of Man, Call of Cthulhu, The Final Station, Insane Robots, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter, The Final Station & Tembo the Badass Elephant… Microsoft are clearly trying to push people onto their Game Pass service.
In the last 6 months Sony's PSPlus has delivered Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, The Last of Us Remastered, Detroit: Become Human, Batman: Arkham Knight, Darksiders III, Sniper Elite 4, Titanfall 2, Nioh, Outlast 2, MLB The Show 2019 & more.
Even the game pass is pretty average, I've almost gone through all the games I'm keen on.

I did say the last 4 months… I think I only missed Jurassic Park from that period. My point was that whilst PSPlus continues to offer AAA titles, Microsoft is pushing people towards Game Pass. Which isn't bad… Especially the "buy one get one free" offers that make Game Pass Ultimate around $95 a year. It's basically $16 a year more than standard Gold and it brings quality games with it.

Can't compare 6 months of PS Plus to 4 months of GWG.
Either way, if they didn't offer free games you're still going to pay for the online play anyway, so anything bonus is a… bonus.

Also GTA 5, Gears 5, Halo MCC and the list goes on for ultimate pass holders. I’d say Xbox have been pretty decent with their games to be had for “free”

Pretty disappointing month.
I'm glad for everyone to have now got both classic BF games with Gold now.
But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bummed I spent 30 on the pair day one.
Don't forget, even if you played these years ago, the Xbox BC versions come with the paid DLC that's been otherwise unavailable for a good decade out the gate. On BF1 I think it's just the Jabba Palace map but BF2 adds 2 new heroes, 4 or 5 planets, and assault mode to a bunch of existing planets. The Xbox BC DLC is the bomb.
Edit: actually my stuff expires on the 4th and I have no interest in Fable or Cthulu, I'll activate my 3 years of Ultimate next month I guess, less bummed now.
Which heroes does it add on bf2? and which extra assault levels?

Hero Assault is added to Coroscant, Bespin, Yavin, and a bunch of other levels I don't remember off the top of my head. It's awesome.

What we've learned in the last 1+ years is that with Xbox Gold and/or Epic Games, Ozbargainers don't pay for games. They get them for free or through a highly subsidised sub… :P
